I bought my first pair of Kinvaras back in December 2010 and just recently purchased the updated model (which is very similar to the original). I cannot say enough good things about these shoes! They are very lightweight, while still providing a cushioned feel. They're one of the only minimalist shoes that I feel I could do full mileage in right away. Specs: 6.7 oz and a mere 4mm heel drop (a small toe to heel drop promotes forefoot running as opposed to the much maligned heel strike).
Brands I'd also recommend: Brooks Ghost, New Balance Minimus

Love these shoes! I am a Brooks Adrenaline wearer, and I wanted to try the lighter weight running shoes. Very happy with the Saucony Kinvara 2s. I ordered them in 2 more colors!

I love these shoes! I had been running in Vibrams FiveFingers but I recently began training for a half marathon and I wanted a minimal shoe that would offer a little more protection than the Vibrams. These are great! They're a nice mix of cushy and low to the ground. I'm marking them as wide because the toe box felt really big when I first put them on, but I consider that to be a plus because I like that in a shoe. And as if all that wasn't enough, the blue and pink color combination is also super sexy.

I bought these shoes as I was transitioning to the Chi Running style and minimalist shoes were recommended. These shoes are light as a feather. They run small, so order .5 size up from what you normally get in running shoes - we all know that is different from your regular shoe size. The cushioning is minimal and these did not end up working for me, my feet really hurt and I would hobble the next day on my run for the first 1/2 to full mile. It may be due to prior issues with plantar fascia, but it was both feet that hurt. They are very pretty, so I am going back to my cushy running shoes and will definitely use these for leisure.

Great long distance running shoe! I've been using these to train for my half marathon and they are super light. With just a 4mm heel to toe drop these really help me maintain a midfoot strike. The structure of the shoe hugs my foot making it feel secure with every step. Saucony definitely got it right with the Kinvara2! I like them so much, I bought a second pair!

I wanted a minimalist shoe like innov8 for running, but I have sciatic and neck pains from a car accident. I needed a shoe with cushion to help with the sciatic pain and the Kinvara 2 is perfect. My boyfriend just bought a pair in 11 1/2 and they are just as weightless as mine! I may decide to work into a 0 heel to toe ratio shoe but for now I love my Kinvaras. They are the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. They only reason it didn't get 5 stars all around is because I think the color selection could be a lot better. I didn't have much to choose from.

These are light as a feather and extremely non-interventionist, which is, and always has been, what I look for in a running shoe. With the recent fad for getting runners on their toes and facilitating heel-to-toe transition, I suppose I am paranoid about shoes not letting me remain on my heel. Which is where a distance runner belongs. So I am not sure whether I sense of touch of that facilitating in these: but if there is any it is not much. By the way, as always Zappos is amazingly efficient and true to their word about accepting shoes back, refunding money for undamaged returns, etc., until you get the shoe that is right for you.

This is my second Kinvara. I loved the first pair I bought and wanted to get a second pair before they couldn't be found. Now they have the Kinvara 2. Still a great shoe. Instantly comfortable and so lightweight! The only thing is that it seems the toe box is slightly narrower. So far, not a problem. Always order these at least half size up.

Surprisingly lightweight! This is an excellent running shoe. I've had them for 4 months and they've held up to running 5 times a week. They don't look so good once they get dirty, but I wear them for sport, not looks.

These are great looking in person and are extremely lightweight and comfortable. I ordered the 5, and felt that they would be too snug to run in comfortably, so I returned them for the 5.5 and they fit great. What you can't tell is that the mesh part on the top and sides of the sneaker is sheerer than you might expect, which I noticed as I was wearing pink socks. But overall, a great looking sneaker and I love the support they give me while running and walking. I researched these sneakers beforehand and can see why they get such high ratings. Will definitely buy another pair when this one wears out! Another added bonus was that although I chose standard shipping, Zappos shipped these next day, and I had them the next day around noon- that was awesome, even though I ended up having to send back for a bigger size. The return process was extremely easy as well. Thanks Zappos for awesome customer service!

I absolutely love these this shoes. I was looking for a shoe to help me run more on my forefoot rather than heel, and this does the job perfectly. Your calves definitely have to work harder but the shoe has plenty of support where you need it. I normally wear a 10 but needed a 10½.

These are super lightweight shoes that really breathe. I work on my feet all night as a nurse. I do not deal with hot, sweaty aching feet anymore. These almost feel like I am not even wearing shoes. They provide great traction. They really move with you and fit to your foot so if stiff, solid support is what you are looking for this is not it.

This is a very light shoe. I had to get used to the weight. It's reasonably comfortable, but not as comfortable as other Saucony running shoes I've tried. I always have to buy Sauconys in a 1/2 size larger to allow more room in the toe box.

These are the lightest running shoes that I have ever worn. I have been running for 15 years and these are by far my favorite pair. I highly recommend these to anyone at any running level. They are especially good for someone who is trying to segue into barefoot running because they have a low profile and not too much extra bulk. I would also suggest that you order a half size larger than you normally wear because they run (no pun intended!) a little small.

I've been running in the older Kinvara and just got a pair of Kinvara 2. In many brands like Asics, Puma, Nike I wear 10.5 but 11 fits me better in these due to the toe box. Because these are so sleek/low profile they still look pretty small even in size 11, unlike some other bulky shoes where going from size 10 to 11 seems to make a big difference in making my feet look huge. Asics Speedstar and Puma Ryjin both fit me better and are nearly as light weight as this shoe; however, I love the way these look and the fact that they are the lightest running shoes I have used which are still comfortable for long runs (20-30k).
Brands I'd also recommend: Asics Gel speedstar, Puma Complete Ryjin
