I recently purchased this shoe to replace my Saucony Progrid Guide 4. I have to say that I love both. I think this new version has a more gradual offset which is better than the Guide 4. I love to run in Saucony shoes and was hesitant to go to the latest model but I was not disappointed. I am training for a half marathon and my feet never hurt afterward.

This shoe was was featured in the Runner's World, March 2012 issue, which is why I decided to try it out. I normally wear a size 7 in running shoes; however, my foot was swimming in this size 7. I measured the shoe length to other Saucony shoes I have, and it was a 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer in overall length. Other than the sizing issue, this would probably make a fantastic shoe. Lightweight and comfortable!

I have the Saucony Progrid Guide 4 in a size 9.5, and have loved this shoe. It's time to replace them, so I ordered the same size in the 5 series, and it was at least a half size bigger. I had to exchange for a smaller size.

I had been running in Saucony Progrid Omni 8 for three years, and when replaced went with this shoe. I have mild overprontation, and some mild bunions. This shoe, while initially felt great, was too narrow in the arch as well as forefoot for me unfortunately, causing blister and callous quickly.

: For my 5th pair of Saucony running shoes, I was really disappointed in these. Hard, uncomfortable, and almost painful. They are the correct size and felt good the first time I put them on. After walking around for a day, my heels and feet ached. This never happens to me- not even when I'm wearing heels! Because I wore them outside, the return policy is voided and I'm stuck with them. I bought these after reading reviews on Zappos and in Runner's World magazine. So much for running the 10mile race in May wearing these... Back to Nike I go... Save your money... these aren't worth it!

1. What I missed in the picture and video was how the back part of the shoe comes up in two points. Not all Sauconies do this. It was too high and it rubbed it. Good looking and nice style though. 2. It fit really well as a wide shoe. I highly recommend it if doesn't bother your ankle area.

I love these shoes. I am not a runner but am a walker and these shoes perform exceptionally well for me. They are lightweight and very comfortable with some stability that I need. I continue to buy Saucony because of the comfort and fit. For walking shoes I do size up 1/2 size.

I have been wearing Saucony running shoes for many years, and this shoe is the best one yet. The first time I ran in them, it felt like I had been wearing them for months. Great shoe!

Have been wearing the 2100 series from ASICS for several years and love them. Just thought I would try these and they are super light and airy. Very comfortable I have had them now for about 2 months. Will see how they hold up. Have really bad foot problems and need comfortable shoes. These have great padding where I need it. And of course Zappos is the only place to get great service. Thank you.

I went to a local store and they didn't have my size but I knew I wanted this shoe. Rather than buy it in another color I ordered it from Zappis and it arrived quickly. I love it.

I love this shoe! Lots of support and cushioning. I keep getting this shoe just the lastest model and have never been disappointed. I've never had an injury and have run several marathons and half marathons in this shoe.

Feels and looks great! I love this model I've had the Guide 2, 3, 4 and now 5; they improve every model. What is great about the 5 is the awesome colors!

Not as good as Progrid Guide 4 and not even close to Progrid Guide 2. Progrid Guide 2 was the best running shoe they ever made. Hands down.

Incredibly, incredibly comfortable. I've been pretending to be a semi-serious runner for a few years now and these shoes by far are the most comfortable I have run in. Although I liked my previous Asics (which my more serious runner friends rave about). I find these hands down to be more comfortable for both running and walking.

I'm a newbie runner, and was having terrible foot pain and shin splints from my old trusty pair of New Balance. Went to a running store to get fitted, and the Saucony Guide 5 was the best feeling shoe. Now 4 weeks later I can say that I haven't had ANY foot or shin splint pain at all. I will be watching these to go on sale and pick up a couple of pairs so I have them for down the road (pun intended!) Should mention that I did also purchase additional supportive inserts to go in these as well.

These shoes are very comfortable and make walking a breeze. I used to wear New Balance shoes, but i switched to these and have found them to fit my feet much better. The toe box is roomy and the shoe is very cushioned. I would definitely buy these again.
