Great shoes... but not shoes, sandals. These sandals are awesome. The only complaint I have is if you wear an eleven, order a twelve... they don’t come in half sizes, but just go a size bigger and it’s all fine.

Brands I'd also recommend: Just plain ol' sandals.

Sanuks - The shoes are extremely comfortable. The stand out when you wear them but you don't have to worry about looking out of place with them.

Son's surprise - The Kerouacs were a gift to my son's on Christmas. From the opening of the box, they have been on their feet. They arrived in record time, and were exactly what I ordered. Overall...A BIG SUCCESS!

They look great and are very light, which I liked. They felt too small at first, but they just needed a few wears to stretch out and now they feel perfect. I think they are the coolest looking footwear I have ever owned.

A great alternative to open toe sandals. Comfortable enough to wear all day. Although, your foot can get hot.

A great sandal - If you are going to wear these like a sandal (no socks) then the size is fine. I could see how one would want a size up if wearing socks, however. I feel no need to ever put on another pair of Vans again. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

Extreme Comfort, Casual Look - I find it hard to even take these shoes off - they are incredibly comfortable. I have completely abandoned my trusty Vans slip-ons. When it comes to comfort, there is no comparison. The look is very casual and may not be to everyone's taste. Worth getting used to though - your feet will thank you.

Super comfy, but semi-houseshoe in style - I bought two pairs of Sanuks for a trip to Central America. They are incredibly comfortable and soft. A few things your should know - they are kind of difficult to get on at first as the elastic and canvas are a bit tight, however, that is not an issue now after a few wearings. The style of the shoe takes a bit getting used to - they feel and look kind of like an urban slipper. Cool thing about them is that the upper material is so soft, you can smash down the heel portion and slip them on like a sandal for a quick trip out to the car, mailbox, or corner store without any discomfort whatsoever. Keep tabs on the smell if you are a foot-sweater - they can get a little ripe if you don’t air them out.

Great footwear! These have hardly left my feet since I got them. So comfy! I also think they look good, even if they have a bit of an Old Man slipper feel to them. They started out fitting a tiny bit snug barefoot, but they even fit nice with a pair of socks given a few days of wearing. True to size in my opinion.

Ninja Shoes - These things are silent and comfortable. They do look like house shoes, but I've been overcoming my aversion to wearing them in public due to how comfortable they are.

Sanuks & Me - These great looking sandals are as easy on the eyes as they on your feet. Great comfort and value on well made shoes that feel much more expensive. My only problem is finding enough occasions to wear them.

Great and Comfortable! Great Shoe! I wear a 10.5 in tennis shoes and ordered the 10 and they are a comfortable fit. Looking forward to buying another pair of Sanuks from Zappos! I think I ordered the shoe on a Thursday and the shoe came the next day! Quite amazing!

Sanuk Kerouac - They're not kidding when they say, "These are not shoes". More like glorified flip flops. They are pretty comfortable, but will give you almost instant foot sweat since there isn't much ventilation, and the fabric inside isn't breathable either. Also, for the money, you might expect higher quality, but these are basically a flat piece of rubber with a canvas shell. Don't get your hopes up in that category. I would consider buying from Sanuk again, but probably a mesh fabric type.

Get This Shoe - You must wear them all the time. You must get them dirty. You must sweat in them. You must put at least 40 miles on them before you can say anything about them. With pants they look a bit like gangsta' slippers. But with shorts they make you appear at least 20% more relaxed. Just buy the shoe and don't take your life so seriously.

DO I have shoes on?? OK, let me just say, WOW. I just got my Kerouac's and couldn't help but to rip my socks off and put them on, I am not normally a sandal/flip flop kinda guy, but these things are awesome! I can already tell that they will be my first option for a long time!! I've been reading over the reviews for months trying to figure out which 'shoes' to get for the summer, and I've been contemplating trying to make the switch to something more relaxed than my Leather casual shoes or gym/workout shoes, this is the way to go, and I don't care who thinks I'm wearing house shoes, these things are great!!!!! I wear an 8.5 EEE and the 9's fit me perfectly!
