About Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz Skateboards and Cruzers. Dig deep into the history of skateboarding and Santa Cruz™ skateboards was there. In the '70s, it was born from a simple idea to manufacture boards for the up-and-coming skateboard craze that was sweeping surf-starved communities across the coasts. In 1974, Jim Phillips, now a legend of the skate industry, joined the ranks and created the basic graphics that would adorn Santa Cruz boards for decades to come.
In the '80s and '90s, Santa Cruz began to produce legendary boards, designs that would help usher in a new wave of popularity for skateboarding. In 1985, Phillips drew the Screaming Hand, which not only became an iconic Santa Cruz image, but an image that would become nearly synonymous with the entire skateboard industry. To this day, the Screaming Hand can be found on Santa Cruz decks, nearly untouched from when it was first created.
To this day, Santa Cruz has remained an absolute icon in the industry. Through the '70s, '80s, '90s, and to present day, Santa Cruz skateboards has been there, supplying the sickest decks to the population, and doing it in their own unique way. I already owned a 38" Sector 9 downhill board but needed something a little more stable for cruising around campus and around town. Looked at a couple of board shops and eventally the Land Shark Cruzer caught my eye. Out of all the boards that I tried out that day, the Land Shark was definitely the ride with the most control. At 27.7", it's short, but wide and sturdy enough that it packs like a skateboard but rides like a longboard. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the white top. Most boards are dark for a reason, the white starts to show dirt and footprints, making it look a bit nasty, the overall, it's a fantastic ride and the perfect board to strap to your bag or cruise around town.

My son saved his money to purchase this skateboard and I have barely seen him since the day it arrived! He can't wait to get home from school to go skateboard with the kids in the neighborhood. It's built solid, with stable, thick wheels and the board is wide enough so he doesn't constantly fall off. Great product that provides great fun.
This board is the best for tricks, cruising, and getting to school. It fits in your locker and backpack. Don't get a penny, get the original gold cup banana board. Mine is black.
Totally awesome, best thing ever. I ran over a kid's toe and didn't feel it. The wheels and bushings rock, perfect cruzing size.
