These shoes are excellent! I love them. I was looking for something different, but not too eccentric, so I bought the black ones. These shoes are very stylish (the croco pattern is really nice) and of course super comfortable. Even though they are a little bit expensive, I'm very happy with my choice.

I loved these shoes, they're gorgeous. I have never been able to wear Dansko Professional because the top band really hurts the top of my feet, but I ordered these Sanitas in a 41 (I am a size 9) and they worked beautifully. I am actually going to return them and get them in a different kind of leather since they're too cute to wear to work, but I may order them again later.

I bought these in the Bordeaux croco and they are great! I used to wear Danskos and unknown by many, Sanita made the Dansko shoe/footbed for years. Now that Sanita no longer makes the Dansko footbed, they (Dansko) are much more narrow, from what I have learned. The Sanita professional fits me much better than the new Dansko professional; more room for my high arch and a roomy toe box. Great patterns and colors too, not to mention that they last forever and are a breeze to keep clean. I do 12 hour shifts 3-4 times a week and these shoes make a real difference in how my feet/legs/back feel at the end of the shift. They are not cheap, but totally worth the price.

Zappos had these shoes to me overnight, which never ceases to amaze me! They are comfortable & very cute. Just like all the professional Danskos that I have with a little snap in the croc exterior. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

About Sanita
Since 1907, Sanita® has embraced the Danish word "hygge" (pronounced hue-guh) in the construction of each and every pair of Sanita clogs. Loosely translated, "hygge" means "making everything cozy". Clean design, natural materials and fine craftsmanship are just a few things that make Sanita clogs so special. Christian Andersen, Sanita's founder, utilized these three things to help make Sanita what it is today. Andersen left his career as a farmer forever when he began creating clogs out of wood. After a half-century of building the business, Christen and his son Johannes closed their successful store and completely devoted themselves to designing and distributing footwear. This risky maneuver paid off in the early 1980's.
1983 marked a definitive year for Sanita - that's the year that Christian discovered a factory in Italy that made cast soles out of polyurethane. This innovate new technology allowed Sanita to shape clog bottoms to fit the anatomical shape of the foot. With heel, arch and toe support and added shock absorption, the polyurethane heel combined with the upturned toe of the Sanita clog provided unmatched comfort and launched each and every step with a simple rolling motion. Thus, the Sanita Original Collection (then the San-Flex) was born and is still made in Europe.

More recently, clogs have become a fashion statement as well and can be seen on the feet of the fashionable world-wide. For the past 25 years, Sanita has continued to innovate with superior design, materials and hand-crafted European construction. Sanita Professional Croco--I ordered these in the Bordeaux Croco along with a pair of the Dansko Professional to compare the two. I really liked the look of this shoe, the color is really pretty and the croco is interesting while still being very versatile. However, the fit just didn\'t work for me. I have a very average foot and the Sanita felt really strange in the heel area (maybe it\'s because I\'m not used to wearing clog-type shoes). Also, while the toe box seemed larger, it felt more constrictive over the top of my foot. Maybe after wearing them a while I may get used to/break these into my foot, but the Dansko\'s were more comfortable for me out of the box, so these will go back. I definitely agree with other reviewers that the instep is higher in the Sarnita, so it would be a good shoe for someone with high arches.

I just bought these from a local retailer (sorry Zappos!) and I love them. These shoes aren't just comfortable, they are super cute! They are almost as cute as my patent red leather Marcelle's. The great thing about this color of red is that it is practically a neutral color. My patent red Marcelle's are just too flashy to wear all the time, but this color is a little muted and has worn well over the last few days, the only shoe I've worn since I bought them, with a wide range of outfits. I almost bought the Dansko Professional Tooled in black because I wanted some fancied-up clogs, but these won out because the red just isn't as striking as I was afraid it would be and these shoes made my heart sing. Sing!

I have to wear my shoes with thick socks. So at first I thought they weren't going to work. I wore them to work anyway. To my surprise they stretched out just enough in 2 wears to be very comfortable! I love the toe room! I have a wide toe box and my lttle toe always feels squished! Not in these. They are actually stylish as well. Have recieved compliments. I am a retail manager who works 10 to 12 hours a day on her feet with bad knees. These are working for me!

I have worn Danskos for years and did not realize that Sanita was the home company. I love the way the shoe looks and this style should hold up well. They fit okay, but I could have worn a smaller size.

The second time I wore these shoes I received compliments on them from two women with very good taste. But, more important than that, I am pleased to have found a pair of "professional" clogs that fit me correctly. I have worn quite a few pair of Danskos, but have been frustrated by being in between sizes 38 & 39. When I learned from other Zappos reviews that Sanita clogs ran a little larger, I thought it would be the answer, and I was right. Mind you, this is a very slight difference, and there is also a price difference, but finding the right fit for the type of shoe my feet love made it worth it.

These shoes are beautiful! So disappointed though, because they are so uncomfortable. I wear a size 9 normally, so I got the 39 and not good, could barely get my foot in and the instep was so high. I need to return them.

I love these shoes!!!! I\'ve gotten lots of compliments on them!!! Only problem I had with them is that I have a long second toe and I usually wear a size 41 in Dansko but due to the longer toe I had to give the 41 to my sister and purchased the size 42. Other than that the shoe is perfect....

I've worn Dansko professional clogs for years, but was ready for a new pair when I came across the Sanita Professional Croco. I loved the patent-leather croc look, especially in the Bordo color. My concern was sizing. I'm a true 7 and that doesn't easily translate to the European sizing. The Sanitas definitely run a little smaller and narrower than the Danskos, but with a thin sock the 37 has been just fine. I think the 38 would have been too big, even with thick socks. I get so many compliments and love these Sanitas!

I wear size 8, ordered 7.5 - 8 and couldn't get into them. Liked the looks, so ordered the 8.5 - 9. Now I have to return them, too. My heel slides out with every step. Disappointed.
