Sanita

I love these clogs! I have been wearing Danskos and now Sanita clogs (because Sanita is the original maker of the soles for Dansko) for just about 12 years now and they are incredibly comfortable. I like usually wear a 40, which is a little bigger than my normal size in other shoes, but I like to wear really thick socks with them. I worked in healthcare for much of this time and my feet never felt better; even better than with running shoes. I turned many people onto them as the support is phenominal! These oiled professionals do have a different surface than they did before, which I like, but it does have a texture to it, and to me, it is like the texture on my saddle and my handbag. The old texture was more suede-like and scuffed more. Sizing to me is consistent. Mine always fit ever so snug when new and stretch a bit with wear. These shoes also last a really long time if you care for the leather.

Same reliable quality in this product I have grown to expect with added comfort of width.

Love these shoes for my kitchen management career with a high end restaurant chain. I tell all new employees to order Sanitas over Danskos. They are definitely harder to find, but Zappos has it covered. I had to wait a few weeks for my size to come in, but it's worth the wait. And Zappos contacted me via email as soon as they came in stock. Comparable in price, they last longer and are more comfortable than Danskos.

I have a high arch and high instep, especially right foot. Also wear a heel lift in right shoe. This shoe was too tight over the instep even without the heel lift. Returned!

I also found they ran a bit small. I recommend ordering 1 size up. I usually wear a 7.5-8 / 38. However, I needed a 39 in these. Even with the larger sizing and there was not enough room for gel shoe pads. On the upside - they are comfortable enough with ample arch support that I found I didn't really need extra padding. Also with this sizing, thick socks are uncomfortable. At the same time, an even larger size 40 would just be too big in length. Another point, when I wear Danskos, my feet slide forward and my toes uncomfortably hit the front of the clog. The Sanita footbed is shaped in a way that my toes don't do that and are extremely comfortable. I wish they were a little bit softer, but overall - very happy with the shoe.

Great shoe! Like the other reviewer, I had to order up. I am a 37, but in these shoes I had to go up to a 38. They are short in length. (I also have Danskos, which fit fine in a 37.)

Cannot say enough about how great these clogs are. I have been there and back with colors and styles and such - but oiled black Sanita clogs bring back the wonder and comfort of Dansko in the old days. My shoe length is 7.5, but with wide feet I normally wear an 8 - size 39 are the perfect fit - not too tight across the top and a bit of movement in the heel - just like they are designed to fit. All the other shoes in my closet are now neglected and probably will stay that way. Love Sanita.

Yet another disappointment -- like almost all Dansko clogs these do not come in a narrow width. After all these years, there are only 3 clogs available -- black, brown and cordovan; I personally know at least 20 women with narrow feet who are shut out. What's the matter with this?

Better than Danskos because they don't squeak, and they're the original makers. Otherwise this are nicely colored, sturdy, and great arch support. A little narrow around the toes. They'll take some breaking in for the pinky toes and the back of my heel/achilles tendon.

I have several pair of Danskos and wanted a pair in a mary jane style. I was a little nervous to try a different brand, but I like the style of the Sanita Claire better than any of the Dansko options. I am happy that I took the risk. They are just as comfortable as my Danskos. I don't know if they will hold up as well or as long, but in the short term they are just what I was looking for!

It's so hard to find Sanita in narrow sizes. This pair fit, although I did have to go up to a 41. It is so comfy! I hope it's as easy to care for as the Napa.

I love this clog! I have to have the narrow, and so far they have been made in only very traditional (and dark) colors -- this bright fuchsia is fabulous! I work as a Dental Hygienist, in the north and it is a great burst of fun color to wear with regular scrubs. The fit is superb, and is a bit less bulky looking than other clogs I have tried. They also "clomp" less, I think due to the fact I am not sliding around in the foot bed. I like them so much I will want to wear them outside of work!

Excellent shoe. I had another pair of Sanitas that had a lower sole and I loved them but I could not find them again. I bought Danskos because everyone had them but i was not impressed. I just got these Sanitas to replace the Danskos and I am very happy with them. Much more comfortable. perfect!

While they fit perfectly for my hard to high instep, there is a problem with these shoes for me. The joint of the two pieces of leather lies right at the arch of my foot. This rubs at the arch and is very irritating. Even just wearing them around my house for a few minutes to get the feel for them, I noticed this pain in my arch. I don't think I could walk all day in these without getting a blister on my arch. Not the comfortable shoe I was hoping for. I will be returning them.

Awsome shoes! They are so comfortable. This is my 4th pair. I especially love the grey and black. They go with so much and love the texture.

These run small. I wear a US size 9 (Eur 40), but had to order a 41 in theses. Higher arch support than Dansko. My shoes are slightly different colors (they could have done a better job at color-matching) but wore outside so can't return. 5 stars for Zappos' customer service and quick shipping!

The oil finish gives them a nice somewhat scuffed look, like worn jeans. Sanita's sizing seems faintly smaller than Dansko's.

I wear a 7.5 shoe and these do run small. I could get them on and they felt wonderful but I would only be able to wear them with nylons or barefoot. If you want to wear socks I would suggest one size up. I will be ordering size 39 and hope they feel as good as these did.

Very happy with this shoe, fit was perfect for me and I stand in comfort all day at work. Usually wear insoles for plantar fascia but have not needed them in this shoe. I would add that clogs are great for standing but I choose other shoe styles when doing a lot of walking. I ordered Sanita for the 1st time along with the Dansko professional clog in the same size and returned the Dansko- they were too big, I could shake my foot and they fell off- not just the usual looser clog heel. I have other Dansko styles that fit well so I was disappointed. These by Sanita were a very pleasant surprise and I will purchase again. They are holding up well to scuffs and wear after over a month. These are made in the EU (in Poland) and the Dansko are now made in China... Zappos service and return service is excellent!

I work in the health care field, and of course am on my feet long hours. After researching this type of shoe online, I found that the Sanita's were the better choice among clogs. I ordered a pair and my feet thank me each day I have them on. No more coming home with leg cramps, and sore aching feet. You really must try these, to be a believer. I am!
