I bought this for a Kentucky Derby Fundraiser and the hat is just what I wanted, but the brim is so floppy that it doesn't stand out like the picture, it's like walking in a tunnel you can't see off to the side, and people can't see you.

Big, pretty, healthful hat; a little heavy. Nowhere else but San Diego Hat Co have I found hats that provide so much portable, non-chemical sunblock. This brim is the widest I've found. The shape is a stylish picture hat, but another slightly smaller style slants down and provides a bit more sunblock if facing the sun.

I bought the lavender version of this hat for a Kentucky Derby charity party and let me tell you, it is gorgeous! I've searched for a reasonably priced, large brim hat for weeks and this is the ticket! I love that the brim is wired and can be manipulated into many shapes! Even after attaching flowers, tulle, etc. for decoration, the structure held up perfectly. I cannot wait to wear this stunning hat next weekend! In fact, I love it so much, I'm purchasing a second one in black to wear around the pool!

Great straw hat, very large. I like that it is pretty bendable, I'm sure it would be easy to pack in a suitcase. It's a bit heavy and may blow off a lot in breezy situations. I have other San Diego Hat Company hats and love them all.

Really cute hat -- Really big hat! Got it for steeplechase and it was perfect for the event, although I didn't wear it the whole time because it got in the way a bit.

I absolutley love this hat! I bought it for a beach vacation and feel in love before I even left! It is one size fits all so if you have a big head or a lot of hair it might be a little tight. Overall this is a great buy!

This is a big hat! It's going to BVI with me and it will come in handy for keeping the UV rays off my head and shoulders. Looks spectacular on and easy to fold and travel, it pops right back into shape. A great big hat with a great low price for what you get. A great look for anyone on a boat, yacht, beach or by the pool. Excellent for any resort!

Crazy big, exactly what I needed and wanted. Covers shoulders too. Seems odd, but if you want sun protection (and I do after recent trips to my dermatologist) this is the hat. Just be aware, it is for sitting, not for movement. It's too big to walk with (air flow will blow it off). Unfortunately, my husband is not a fan and after mulling it over, I am returning. :(

At last, I found what I was looking for. I went through two other hats. What I like most about the hat is that it holds the shape and doesn't block my view. Completely blocks the sun. I am so glad I bought it.

Great hat! Wide brims is what I was looking for making it look so elegant. It easily adjust shape of brims, so that's great. The only downside is that it still contains paper products, so I better not get it wet!

Perfect hat. Bought this for a spring vacation in the sun and the ability to angle it depending on where I was in the sun was really helpful to shade my face. Would love this in other colors too!

This is a great hat! I wore it to the Kentucky Derby and it was perfect. It is very large! You can kind of guide the rim where you want it so its not too in the way.

Great hat! I purchased it for Preakness and dressed it up to match my dress by sewing on ribbon and an extra large bow. I received many compliments! For Preakness next year, I plan to wear this hat again and change out the ribbon/bow to match my dress for next year.

Clearly a higher quality hat than say the Jessica Simpson line. I loved the Toast color, but the brim is just way too big. My husband said it looked like a floppy tortilla on my head. I searched for the same style/brand with a smaller brim and they don't make one. (The San Diego Hat Company UBL4136 Women's Floppy is close, but a bit stiffer.)
