This is such a shame. This shoe is exactly what I want this season and for my vacation later this summer... I read the previous two reviews that state it is comfortable, and found a review at Nordstrom stating the opposite and because Zappos is so great with returns, gave it a try. I have a perfect size 6.5 med foot with nothing weird going on, and I could not believe it when I slipped my foot in this shoe - the pain was so bad I literally couldn't leave it on for 5 seconds to get the zipper up and have a decent look in the mirror. When you look at the pictures on line, you see that there is leather backing behind the metal buckle to pad near the ankle, and this is why I thought it would work. Unfortunately, the issue is that, even though the piece of metal you see is narrow, the actual metal piece is quite wide because it also contains the little buttons for the strap. Having such a wide piece of metal hit right on your ankle bone is literally not bearable - not even to try on. It is such a waste of a beautiful design. :(

I was a little skeptical after reading the other reviews but the style is just what I was looking for so I ordered a pair after my size came back in stock. I could see how the ankle strap could be bothersome but, for me at least, it's not an issue. Overall, I'm really happy with the purchase. I like that the shoes are simple but the metallic accents jazz things up a bit. I think they're pretty versatile too - you can wear them dressed up or down. I'll be wearing them a lot this summer!

I wanted a cute smaller wedge and liked the style of these the best. I did read the other reviews and was concerned about the whole buckle thing but decided to give them a try anyway. The buckle has a bit of a heavy feel on the ankle when first putting them on but after a few minutes, the shoes are fine! I wore them 2 days in a row to work and stood all 2 days in them! They are super comfortable and chic! I feel like they have a touch of a "Rock n Roll" feel to them and got tons of compliments! They are true to size and the footbed does have a touch of a squish factor that makes them more comfortable! They make a great city walking shoe!
I'd also recommend: Ugg,Born,Gentle Souls,Cole Haan

LOVE these shoes. So simple. Will be my summer go-to sandal. The ankle strap does rub a tad, but you can loosen the strap and it's fine. These look even better in person. You won't regret it!

I have several pairs of Sam Edelman wedge ankle wrap sandals...last years' style and these new ones! They are my 'go to' sandals for jeans, dress pants and cropped jeans. Can't go wrong. Modest heel which is appreciated!
