I was so happy to find a pair of salt water sandals that my 14 month old son could wear! They fit great, the leather is nice and soft and he loves them too! I was worried that the bottom might be slippery, as it doesn't look to have much traction, but he has no problem running on all surfaces, so I guess they are 'gripy' enough! As much as I love them, the buckle is a bit more work to get on a squirmy toddler, but worth it for sure.

Love these for my very active 2 year old. Needed a closed toe sandal and this does the trick. Only qualm is they take a minute to get on with the buckle and the bottom white part gets dirty fast. These are a great sandal though!

These are perfect sandals for everyday or dress up wear. The leather is nice and soft and doesn't chafe. They fit our son true to size and look very cute on. He says they're comfy and keep his feet cool, so he's happy with them.

These shoes are great! Every time my son wears this sandal he gets compliments on how cute they are. I bought this shoe last and they wear a little big and now they fit him just right, now I'm getting a new pair for this summer! Very durable fine leather.

This sandal looks great and is comfortable [nice and flexible] for my 2 year old. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, this shoe does run a size small when you take into account where the upper is placed on the sole (toes can't extend the full length of the sole since it's closed). My daughter's foot runs on the small side, but we still had to return the first pair we ordered for a larger size. But I'm glad we did as she's already had much use of them, and summer hasn't even started! It's a versatile style: works dressed-up or dressed-down. My older daughter has the original salt water sandal (also a Zappos purchase) and she loves those, too.

These shoes are my favorites for summer for my boys. They are water safe. They look cool and are inexpensive. They are comfortable. I love the colors. I only wish they came in bigger sizes. What could be better? Thank you Zappos! I never would have found them with you. But Zappos always rocks!

I had been wanting to buy this style since last year. I wore this brand as a child and still do wear the adult style and love it! The sharks run true to size and are absolutely adorable! The only drawback for us is that my son (2 years old) has wide feet. The sides rub his inside arches and create blisters. I am hoping we will get them broken in and this will no longer happen. Right now, he doesn't want to wear them, so we're going to let them rest a while until he's ready to give them another try. I would say that if your little one has narrower to average width feet, these should be comfy with no break in period at all.

My 10 year old wore Salt Water shoes from 2 until she grew out of them. Every summer we bought 2 pair of white and several other colors. So, I was excited to start my youngest on them now. I ordered these because the sandals met strict specifications for playground safety at her preschool. The toes and heels had to be mostly closed to prevent injuries from mulch and twigs. Received them today and they fit perfectly. However, there is absolutely no growing room. The originals I also ordered provided plenty. I suggest ordering a size larger for this style as I think the closed back design pushes the foot forward naturally.

My daughter loves these shoes - they are comfortable, and she can\'t get them undone by herself (unlike with velcro shoes), so they actually stay on.

I ordered Hoy Sun-San Sharks sandals for my 17 month old twin boys. I wanted something that was classic, well-constructed and durable. Well, summer is over and these sandals look barely worn! They wore these all summer, at the playground, sand box and to the beach. It was worth the cost and I will be buying new ones for next summer! Thanks Zappos!

These are by far the best sandals we\'ve ever purchased for our daughter. She looks at a new pair of shoes as a challenge - in a "what can I do to these?" sort of way. The Sharks have held up through it all. Water check. Sand check. A busy 3 year old check. My favorite part? Unlike every other pair of white sandals we\'ve ever had, the toes on these are still unscraped!

I absolutely love these sandals for my little girl. This is her 3rd summer and she has worn salt water sandals for each one! That's about 2 pairs a summer because of her growing feet. If I could she'd have them in every color. This was my first time ordering from Zappos, but I will gladly do it again!

I love these for my 3.5 year old daughter. They are a classic that do equally well with casual or dressy outfits. I did have to return the first pair and order the next size up. I like that she never trips over the toe the way she often does with other new sandals, I guess because of the way the sole is constructed. Only possible drawback is that she can\'t really fasten the buckles by herself, but that doesn\'t bother me a ton.
