I love these shoes. Period. This is my third and best pair of Salomons to date. The first pair I made last 5 years, which is probably not recommended, but they were awesome. I wear them in the mud, rain, snow, desert, alpine and out on the boat. Yes the lace mechanism is not as tough as my first pair but they are replaceable. If you find the right outdoors store they will replace them for you. I love the color and how reflective these shoes are. I use them primarily for outdoor activities, and once in a blue moon to work, which I stand 8 hours a day for, and my feet are never sore. If you haven't tried these shoes, do it, and you wont regret it.

Wow! These are great. Must be my 4 or 5th pair. I love the laces and the Gore-Tex. I always order 1 full size smaller and there is still plenty of room for my toes. The laces have eventually broke but were repairable and the shoes were past their useful life anyways.

I chose Zappos because I saw something on the news about this company and the way they treat their employees and have so much joy on the job. I was not sorry. I used to get the Salomon at Nordstrom. They quit carrying them. So, I ordered from Zappos and received them in about 5 days. I love this shoe. Seattle is rainy and they are Gore-Tex and stay dry. I usually wear an 8 1/2 and am a 9 in this shoe. They are just a fantastic shoe and last forever! I give this company 5 stars for sure.

This is a great shoe for winter hiking/running. I live in a cold climate (snow for 5 months of the year), so these are keeping my feet warm and dry during my hour hike/run everyday. What is a bit off is that I feel they were bulkier than anticipated. I chose these ones due to the lower weight as compared to other Salomon trail runners but still feel they are a bit bulky.

I have had four previous pairs of these shoes and loved them until now. The last few pairs I have had the laces keep fraying and breaking. They cannot take the loosening and tightening. Unlike regular shoelaces, when they snap, you are done. Also, they just seem to be cheaper overall. The quality of the quick lace feature is not as sturdy a plastic as before, laces are thinner and the sole just looks less structural. I am very sad that they seem to have changed. It is no longer worth the expensive price tag.

Just got these yesterday. I have some other similar Salomon's that I've just loved over the last 3 years, and it was time for a replacement. These are not it. The 'arch support' feels like a little abrupt rock under my arch, and the whole shoe just seems to stiff and clunky in general. Plus, the odd fit of the right shoe causes my foot to ride at an odd angle, hurting the bottom edge of my big toe in the crevice of the footbed and shoe. They're going back. Sigh.

I really liked this shoe and wanted to be able to keep it but my foot runs a little narrow and I was not able to cinch the quick tie tight in the lower part of the lace area without making it much to tight at the top where it secures. This shoes would work for those with wider feet. Other than that it was very comfortable. I gave it 5 stars because it suits all the categories it just didn't fit my foot.
