Unbelievable quality build and detail in this shoe. Beautiful design. The shoe has a very wide platform and doesn't feel anything close to a B-width. Very lightweight, despite the complex detail and multiple layers of nylon panels. Colors are fabulous! Do not be afraid that the colors are "too" wild...they are just right. The high quality Zappos photos make the shoe look positively neon...it is a little more subdued than that.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are so supportive all the way around my foot, and are super cute! They look great with Jeans or with my running shorts. The comfort is superior to my Asics that I had previously. Love this shoe!

Ordered the Salomon XR Shift for my everyday walking because I found myself wearing my Salomon XR Mission W all the time - and wanted to save them for my trail runs. Liked the supportive feel, in a lighter weight and softer color for summer, and having "real" shoelaces. I ordered same size I wear in XR Mission W, but they felt 1/2 size smaller. Returning and reordering next size up. Hope they fit because I liked them otherwise.

I purchased these to use when walking/jogging on trails in NH (typically dirt with tons of rocks), they are OK, I wouldn't purchase again for that purpose, although they are very comfortable for around town. I'm not happy with that amount of dirt that gets in the shoe, especially since they don't have great airflow. The grip on rocks is not the best, which is surprising because it shows Contagrip which is what is on the bottom of my Salomon XA 3D Ultra shoes and those are very good on rocks. One other thing is that on the inside of the shoe it seems like there was a bit of extra material which they folded over into a little flap. This piece of fabric is right at the widest part of your food so it's very annoying (may just be in the size 9s). I was able to adjust it so it wasn't as irritating, but I thought the quality would be a bit better.
