I am happy with these shoes. I find it a little odd that they are manufactured in natural colors and would logically appeal to individuals that prefer to maintain a low profile in the wilderness, yet have small reflective panels built on them. I had to paint over mine to subdue them. Zappos service was excellent though. I received the wrong color shoes and Zappos overnighted the correct ones and allowed me to return the originals at my convenience and at their expense.

Great service from Zappos! I received these shoes through the APO. They arrived safely and in good time. I am a big fan of the Salomons having been a former dedicated Asics wearer. These shoes are hard wearing and provide good support both on and off road. You don't feel rocks digging into your feet on the trails like normal running shoes. I normally wear a size 10 but find that 10½ in these is a perfect fit, my feet are a bit wider than average. They look great as well and I love the speed lace system.

This shoe is probably fine for running on the street, but the sole is too thin for a trail with rocks. The speed lace loop concerns me. You would need to tuck it in otherwise it will get caught on a stick. It seems like a trip hazard. I don\'t see how one fixes a broken speed lace either. \r\n\r\nSeems like a nice shoe, but I would not want to take it on the trail.

Awesome shoes, best shoes I\'ve ever had (and I\'m 44). I love these shoes. I got the red ones. Very comfortable, and very quick to lace (quick lace system). Believe, your feet are worth, why not treat them to this premium trail shoe. I can\'t think of how you could get a better shoe than this one in terms of comfort, quality build, and quick lace.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable and easy to lace up, really good arch support. But after a few months the outer lining starting breaking down in some places and it was no longer water resistant. If you don't mind buying a new pair every 8-12 months, they are great.

I'm traditionally a Merrell wearer, but decided to try something new after my last couple of pairs fell apart (admittedly after some pretty heavy use). I'm not sure I like the styling as much as some others, but these shoes are a great fit, really comfortable, springy, grippy and (importantly for me) waterproof. If you like the styling, they're a great choice for casual wear or for some actual trail running.

These shoes are comfortable and keep my feet dry. My only complaint is the toe box is a little narrow for me. Otherwise, another great shoe from Salomon. I like the lacing system too.

For this price I was expecting serious quality. Zappos is really fine; finally 4th pair was without defect. Today I took them for a little walk (wet grass and mud, but not extreme) and after 1 hour, my feet was also wet. It means, that waterproof shoe (Ultra GTX) with Gore-Tex is not waterproof. That was 1st and also last time, I bought Salomon shoes. They are really comfortable and nice, but I was expecting more.

Is a brilliant product: comfortable, on/off in a flash and provides good support. I call them my 'spidey shoes'.

One of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Lightweight, true to size, breathes well, and is waterproof. Have only gotten to go hiking once over the past 2 months I've had these, and they performed great. They get an overall 3 stars because: I pretty much only wear these out of the house when I go to work, which is an office-type setting. Within 5 weeks, the right foot developed a very quiet squeak under my toes. By week 6, the squeak was louder. I am now in week 8, and the squeak is loud, and unbearably annoying. It doesn't matter if I'm on carpet or a hard surface; the squeak is there. Will be contacting customer service to see about a replacement.

Great shoes! These are very comfortable, run true to size, and waterproof. 2nd pair of Salomons that I've bought and you can't beat the free shipping!

Love these shoes so much I am about to purchase my third pair. Great for training and racing. Very comfortable for distance running, and suitably light weight. Durable: after running about 400 miles in my first pair I converted them to street walkers - months later they still feel and look great. Waterproof Gore-Tex is a real plus. Great shoes!

I bought these shoes about 2 years ago from Zappos. Good service everything was great. I used these shoes in all conditions. I\'ve walked in shallow streams, ran, cross trained, and even went snow shoeing. These shoes are great. After two years of heavy use I finally need a new pair. I will get these shoes again. And I also love the lacing system. It is fast and easy and lets you slip them on and off if need be. I recommend these shoes. Another thing, I find these shoes great for cross training and running as they sit lower to the ground than similar shoes like The North Face 104\'s.

Nice looking and very comfortable shoe! I don't understand though. Why does the strap for the lacing system have to be SO long that it flops all the way down to the toes? Most shoes with these pull tight systems just down about an inch or two as opposed to the almost 5" long that this one does.

Excellent shoe for walking, hiking. Not completely waterproof in extremely mudding conditions but still satisfactory. Mine are a little tight in the toe area compared to other shoes I have of the same size. I find the shoes work best with thin socks-otherwise they feel tight. Lace system is great! Easy to adjust.

Huge disappointment on Salomon's part. Zappos rules! Buyer beware: what a roller coaster of a shoe purchase. I read so many reviews and thought I'd found an outstanding outdoor shoe company. I was looking to replace my North Face Hedgehog GTX's and was sold on the waterproof shoe idea. I only do light trail running and daily hikes with my dog twice a day. Approximately 3-7 miles in a day varying terrain from urban to trail running. After purchasing the shoes in February of '09 I loved them. Pros: The laces are inventive, quick, and even lacing. The toe of the shoe is awesome for outdoor treks. Great sole support. Snug fitting all around. All in all I thought I'd found what everybody had written about in their reviews. Well 4 months of use yielded poor field results. The rubberized material on the inside edge just behind the toe (opposite Salomon logo) started flaking. As that appeared I started noticing my socks growing gradually damper after my morning walks. As the weeks progressed, the wear started to appear on the other foot as well. Now, almost 2 months later, the left shoes are worthless as far as waterproofing is concerned. For the rep these shoes have I'd expected results at least on par with my old Hedgehogs. I fell in love with this shoe design but now feel utterly disappointed. For the money I'd keep looking. Salomon's: get the materials up to snuff and get back to me.

Placed order on Wednesday between 5-6 PM, got them on Thursday afternoon without paying ANY shipping fees at all. Best shoes i\'ve ever worn. The upper is not as comfortable as the Columbia Sawtooth I used to have (it\'s been discontinued), but its still good. Has some great features like the Quick Fit lacing system. You pull the drawstring till its snug, then place the excess in a pocket above the tongue. No matter how tight you get the laces, the top part does\'nt dig into your instep. Gortex makes it Waterproof. The foam insole made by Ortholite has good cushion. Midsole - the part that goes under the arch of the foot is not as soft as the rest of the midsole and I think that\'s what stabilizes the foot. Have\'nt worn them on the trail yet but the outsole has good traction so far. Great design and very good looking shoe. I bought mine in Black/Black/Quick and it looks great.

This is my second pair of XA Pro 3D. I like the GoreTex addition for those wet days. They fit true to every Salomon I've worn (two XA Pro & 3 Tech Amphibians). The all black looks awesome. I think you'll be impressed!

Worst shoe ever. Would never buy this shoe again. Worst lacing system in the history of shoes. Have had them for two months and still getting blisters. Bought these to replace my Montrail Hurricane Ridge, it's a shame that Montrail is no longer making them.

The most comfortable shoes I have ever worn on the trail. I paired these with a set of Sole insoles. It has totally taken care of my back aches and leaves me feeling energized after a 10 mile hike. You won’t be sorry if you decide to replace your old hiking boots with these great trail shoes! And... they do awesome here in the wonderful wet weather we get in Seattle!
