I have a very narrow heel and just felt they rubbed too much due to movement. Otherwise, they are very nice shoes. Great stability, arch and cushioning.

Stiff shoe. Runs at least a 1/2 to a full size larger. Recommend sizing down. Concerns on how thin the shoe's laces are, also.

The shoes fit like a dream! They keep my feet warm, dry, and are very comfortable. I live in Seattle was looking for a waterproof running shoe that I could use for the gym, running, and hitting the my children's wet soccer fields. These fit the bill. They work wonderfully for my narrow heel/foot. My only complaint is the laces are long, and I have to slide through the other laces so they do not drag on ground. I am now a Salomon convert!

These have been great for walking long distances and keeping my feet dry. They run a little on the large side. I wear a 6.5 in Saucony and these seem to have more foot height (from bottom of foot to top) than others. Very comfortable, though, and warm.

The arch support in these shoes is awesome. Unfortunately the toe is a little too narrow, and I normally wear a regular width shoe. I wear them for 9-10 hrs at work on my feet the whole time, and after about 6 hrs I have to change shoes. I think it is this model though. I have another pair of Salomons, and they fit fine in the toe. The waterproof feature really works well too.

Let me start by saying that my boyfriend loves Salomon shoes... That's why I ordered these when looking for a good gore-tex sneaker. These are good, solid, well-made shoes... But I find them to be a bit heavy and uncomfortable. They hit much higher on the back of your heel than normal sneakers, which I'm guessing is for additional support, but it gave me horrible blisters. And because they are so stiff, again for additional support?, when trying to wear them in, the blistering persisted. I do love the quick lace system, but that is not enough to make me buy another pair. I ordered Nike Gortex sneakers at the same time I ordered these shoes... And those fit comfortably like a glove from the first wear. P.S. I also needed a 7, rather than a 7.5.

These run way too big for the size. I ordered an 8 instead of an 8½ because of the reviews. I wear an 8 or 8½ depending on the style. I never wear a 7½. These shoes feel mismarked, like they are a men's size 8 not a woman's size 8. I love my Solomon Tech Amphibians and ordered those in an 8 and they fit perfectly.

Great shoe! I live in Utah - we get tons of snow & I specifically ordered these for snowshoeing & other winter hiking in the snow. They are amazing - comfy yet sturdy, my feet stay dry & warm even for hours in the cold weather & snow.

This is the third pair I buy. They last for 2 years and get used heavily. Once had problems with laces but soles were worn out by that time. I use them on trails to walk my dogs and they provide great support.

This shoe has a wide toe box and the sole is very stiff. It does not have the rocker type sole that a running shoe has, it is very sturdy and well built but felt to stiff.

This is my second pair of Solomon XA Pro shoes. Loved the first so much that when they got holes in them from scrambling on rocks, I decided to get another pair. Still love them, but this pair runs large. I had a 9 in the previous pair, so ordered a 9 again. I did not return them because I wore them and got them all muddy, but if you get them order a half size down due to the inconsistency from previous year's model.

This shoe runs wide, which I need; but the 2 shoes fit like different sizes. The back goes up a little high; cut into my ankle. I wanted to love them with the Gore-Tex and the awesome quick lace system, but I have to return.

This is the third pair of this style of Salomon that I bought. Through water logged cities, up mountains, down ravines, through swamp and across the wet fields in the morning...the shoe is comfortable, no sweaty feet, easy to clean, and it gives my feet stability and the cushioning that I need.

Love this shoe. I had bought this 3 years ago and it lost its waterproofness. I tried 3 different Keens but they were not good so I went back to this and was pleasantly surprised to see how it had improved. Love the new reflective bits on the heel and the side of the shoe. Runs big - I took 1/2 size smaller than a exercise shoe and 1 size smaller than my running shoes. The perfect shoe to walk my dogs in the rain or for day hikes and biking.

I've loved Salomon for years but this hurts the top of my arch! I'm going to try the XA Comp6, although I saw a similar comment there.
