Great hiking/adventure shoes. Son went on trip to MT for ATV, Zip-lining, hiking, paddle boating, and other adventures. These were perfect. Runs a little small.

My son loved the look of this shoe and it fit fine (ordered 1/2 size larger) but the "tongue" of the shoe is so thick he said it made the shoe very uncomfortable. Had to return.

My daughter, age 9 (almost) loves these shoes. They feel like a hybrid between sneakers and hiking boots, and they fit her perfectly. Tying (or pulling the string) can be a bit hard, and she is lazy and steps on the end of the shoe, but that is a minor concern.
Brands I'd also recommend: merrell
