Excellent shoe, no break in period. A week of hiking in the Pacific Northwest and the first day I put 10 miles on them without a problem -- very comfortable. This is a great hiking shoe, durable and comfortable.

Very comfortable shoe. Resists mud and water very well when new. Very warm, excellent apres ski shoe. Will withstand slipping on without unlacing. My last pair of Salomons were a very similar design and lasted for 6 years with hard use. Finally the Gortex began to leak and the sole began to separate a really great product!

Probably my 10th pair of Salomon shoes, for a good reason, they are second to none! Had a longer break in period and it was a little harder than I have been used too but it was worth it. These are built extremely well and if they are anything like the previous pairs I have owned, they will last me all year at least. My first zappos.com shopping experience (actually done from my smart phone app), and not my last. Shipped to my door in less than 24 hours!

Awesome shoe! I wanted something for the winter other than a boot and preferred that it be waterproof. These fit the bill perfectly. Very comfortable and great arch support. I'd never bought a Salomon shoe before, but I would again based on these.
