Overall:

Loved this shoe in the past, but this time the shoe was not waterproof. It was water resistant and I am so disappointed. I love the fit, style and way it laces. Marina del Rey dogwalker.

Excellent boot; considering buying another pair. High quality construction throughout and are comfortable. Very warm and stylish, don't feel like I'm wearing massive boots.

These are cute shoes but they are too narrow for me in the mid foot area and started causing pain within a few minutes. I appreciate that the heel stays in place, due to the high laces, but they definitely hurt my arch.

These boots are incredibly warm! They may not be quite as flexible as I wanted for hiking in the snow. They certainly beat the last ones I had, which were some other good name brand. They seem sturdy and I like the closure. It's easy! They also seem to be waterproof, so much so, that my feet might have sweated in them a bit. I use orthotics in them, so the arch support they provide could not be judged.

This is a great shoe. I recommend to get a half size lower than your regular size. I got it these in size 12.5 and the fit is great. They are great on trail runs and bad weather street runs. They are also great as a travel shoe. My feet feel great after an all day wear. Remember that GoreTex will make your feet warmer and possibly sweat more then a non-GoreTex shoe.

I love these shoes. I live in Florida, but even when it is cold or I travel, I wear thong shoes. I have terrible bunions, wide feet, and narrow heels. These are the only closed toe shoes I own and they are really comfortable. I would follow all the reviews and buy a bit larger, but the pull strap at the heel helps the shoe to stay put and not slip. I am thinking about buying another in case the company stops making them.

These Salomons are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! The toe box is so wide and comfortable. They took a week to break in and now I don't want to take them off. They are extremely well built. They are so light yet they feel like they are built like a tank. They are a bit warm and so far the Gore-Tex has been awesome in the snow. I'm already planning on getting the other version of the wings for the summer time. I don't know what people were saying about this shoe being narrow. Like I said, the toebox is the widest and roomiest I've ever seen. Awesome shoes. And Zappos had them to me the next day. I like Zappos so much I will never buy from a shoe store again. And it is great to see them carrying all kinds of clothes. Thank you Zappos and Salomon. I'm a fan for life!

They are true to size, lightweight, very comfortable shoes. We were happy to find a shoe in size 13, for my husband, who has a smaller selection of shoes, which seem to stop at 12.5. We wish this shoe came in all black, but as far as the shoe itself, we are very happy.

These shoes are fantastic! Solid foot bed, great stability, very comfortable right out of the box. These shoes are my new favorite running shoes and I'm a hard to please customer! Great laces, too!

Overall:

I do 20 miles a week of trail running. These shoes are too rigid on unpaved roads, okay on rugged trails and perfect in the snow or muddy terrains. They keep snow and wet outside.

These boots are so comfortable! I bought both colors; black & clay. I have recommended them to friends after they have favorably commented. The Zappos service definitely ranks as one of the best. As promised, I received an e-mail (within 2 days) to advise me my size was back in stock. The shipping was expedited for both pairs at no charge. This was my first experience with Zappos. Very comfortable, you hardly notice you're wearing them. They do feel slightly loose in areas; just adjusting the lace here and there helps make them more snug. Love the zip laces, no coming untied, and they stay out of the way, so don't get snagged on anything underwater or otherwise, when tucked away in the lace cover.

Great shoes, however a little tight. Make sure you order a least a half size bigger than usual. Maybe even a full size. Other than that, greta performing shoe!

I bought my first pair of Salomon trekkers (low quarters) this summer and fell in love. I needed something more substantial and weatherproof for hikes in the mountains though, especially during the colder months. I have never bought a pair of shoes without first trying them on, but seeing as though I had some experience with the brand, I went for it and ordered the same size. Out of the box, quite possibly the most comfortable hiking boot I have ever put on. Absolutely no break in period whatsoever. Size was true (I wear an 8 most of the time, and 8 fit like a glove even with thick socks). And they look really nice. Ankle support is fantastic. No bulk or feeling of wearing moonboots like I get with a lot of hiking boots (which always kept me from purchasing). Super light weight. Tread is aggressive enough. All around, a great boot. I am absolutely sold on Salomon, so much so that I convince my husband to get a pair. Highly recommend.

I wore these shoes for some light hiking right out of the box and was very pleased with the fit and comfort. Since then I have gone on many day hikes and am very happy with everything but the lace system. The quick pull lace seems to loosen fairly quickly, I was often stopping to resnug the laces. The shoe is comfortable though a little heavier than what I'm used to. The Gore-Tex lining works great; I've stood in the edge of lakes and the Potomac River with no issues.

This top is very well made of substantial fabric. It has a "strong" stretch, but it doesn't ride up or bind. It's on the short side but still covers my belly at 5'6". The neckline is slightly square which is pretty, I think. It's a great casual or workout top.

These boots are cute, warm, and about as comfortable as wearing sneakers. I was a little dubious that my 15" legs would not fit into them, but the elastic back fits snugly, but comfortably.

I bought my 2nd pair this spring and they are even better now with a slightly wider toe box. I backpack in the Rockies and this year wore the Solomon shoe instead of my Lowa boots. No problem!

Comfortable and warm. Quite tight around the ankles so if your ankles are a bit large or you like to wear super thick socks, you won't be able to zip these up. Little zippered pouches on the side kind of tacky and too small to be useful; can't even fit my key inside.

I love my Salomons. They are simply the best shoes I have every owned. This shoe is comfortable right from the first wearing. Shoes are very sturdily constructed. Every pair of Salomons I have purchased from Zappos have arrived quickly. Excellent service always. I only have eight pairs of Salomons to date. I absolutely love them and get plenty of compliments on their style.

I love this shoe! It is breathable, and has plenty of adjustments. I wear these hiking with the toe socks I get from Zappos. For regular walking the support is fine, but when I hike in AZ and in CO I stick in a very thin pair of supports I purchased from the drugstore. It just protects the soles of my feet better. I wear a 6 in sandals and 6.5 in closed back shoes, but I purchased the size 6 and they are fantastic. The toe box is nice and wide and will easily accommodate a thin pair of socks for regular walking and my thicker toe socks due to the adjustments. I plan on wearing these through the brick streets of Europe.

These are some decent boots, but I\'m having a problem with the stiffness of boot\'s shaft around my ankles. Let\'s first say, I don\'t have the smallest ankles, but they aren\'t HUGE. The boot rubs the inside of my right ankle and is quite painful, which is a problem when you are in the middle of a long hike. My husband and his friend both have this boot and would give it a 5 star. The boot keeps your feet nice and warm. I have mixed feelings about the laces as they are a little difficult to cinch up tightly. I only wish I wouldn\'t have worn them outside because I personally would return them.

I've been looking several years for a replacement of the old New Balance 804s - an all weather, cushioned, light-weight, trail-runner. The Salomon XA Pro (etc.) comes closest of all the dozen or so I've tried, but still falls short. Major problem is that it provides too much rigidity in the arch, over-correction being a major problem in shoes designed by marketing people rather than running experts. And, they weigh a ton. On the other hand, I've yet to find better.

I just spent a month in Russia and, though I had brought several pairs of boots with me, these were the only ones I wore. My pair was brand new so I was concerned they may need some breaking in but they were instantly comfortable and incredibly light. They are easy to take off and put back on, which is necessary when visiting Russian friends, and kept my feet completely dry through rain and snow. I must admit, I bought them because they are very attractive but the real value is in their functionality. I laugh now that I even hesitated because of the price tag, they are so worth it!
