These sneakers are keepers. I really like Salomon's footbeds -- they always seem to be very sculpted, with a pronounced arch, so there is a lot of support. These particular sneakers also have a very tight heel cup that really grips your heel. It makes the fit very stable but a little tight. Salomon, in my opinion, runs a little small and the perception of smallness is perhaps enhanced by the sculpting within the shoe. Although these sneakers have a mesh top for good ventilation, I find my feet sweating on the sole because the grip is so tight there is little air circulation. They are lightweight yet very stable, and I get compliments. I bought these for a trip where I will be on my feet 14 hours a day for a week, and I think they will help me survive it.

These are the best shoes - I have two pairs and they won't be my last. They fit true to size I wear a 6 and the fit perfectly. I love that they are quick drying for those rainy day walks with my dog. I love the quick lace on these shoes you don't have to worry about your laces coming undone.

Always looking for a pair of slip-ons with a good lug sole for winter to wear back & forth to work, changing to workshoes when I get there. These are great. I have really high arches and have a hard time getting good arch support in shoes, and Birkenstock arch supports are too expensive to buy for every pair of shoes I own. These have good arch support, are comfortable, keep your feet dry in wet snow (I shovel in them, too, hate boots) and have great traction. They were snug across the instep because mine is so high, had to use a shoe horn the first week or so, but they loosened up nicely.

Not as comfortable as I was hoping...I bought this shoe last May and have worn it mostly for trail hiking, some daily wear and a few trail runs. The shoe fits rather narrow and is rather uncomfortable in the arch of one of my feet. If I tighten them as much as possible, this somewhat alleviates the narrowing problem since it pulls my foot back in the heel, but I was expecting a more comfortable shoe for the price. I did run in these in the snow this past week and my feet did stay quite dry (the smartwools helped). I did have some ankle and achilles pain after the run though. Probably won't buy another pair of these. Just not enough room in the toe box and the arch is too high for my foot. Will probably try a Montrail shoe since it tends to have a wider toe box.

I'm on my third pair of these sneaks. They're super comfortable, even when I'm pounding it out on concrete. The Quicklace system rocks. No stopping mid-run to re-tie them, no strings flopping around to trip on, excellent support at all points. No leather.

I purchased these in Aluminum/Detroit/Light because it was the only color available in my size (7.5). I'm going to return them because I'm unhappy with the style. They look much clunkier in person and I don't like the lime green accents on the side. It's a shame because apart from that, it's a very comfortable sneaker right out of the box. Fits snugly, but good breathability and there's enough cushioning that I don't feel I'd need an additional insole. The elastic laces are also a plus for easy on/off and adjustability. For a heavy duty outdoor sneaker, this is surprisingly lightweight. I'll definitely look into other styles from this brand.

These boots are thin, warm, fit nice and close around the ankle and calf. The soles are great in snow/slush/rain. Feels like wearing sneakers. If you have wide fee, you may want to order up as they fit my thin feet perfectly.

So far we have ordered 8 pair of these boots. I work for an electric utility where we have meter readers that are walking through snow, on ice, and any other conditions Minnesota throws at us. Their biggest issues were trying to keep their feet dry. I started off ordering the comparable boot for women and 1 pair of these. After the first person wore them, they ordered a second pair and the rest followed suit and ordered a pair. Out of the 7 people that are wearing the boot, only one had a complaint. He said there isn’t enough cushion on the bottom and added inserts to take care of the problem. They definitely keep the feet dry. Highly recommended.

These are the 4th pair of Salomons that I have owned and I gotta say I’m disappointed in this particular pair. Something is very wrong with the insole/cushioning. These were supposed to be trail shoes, but you feel every rock like it’s coming though the bottom of the sole. The insole just doesn’t offer much cushioning at all. They look fantastic, but do not wear well. I should have sent them back, but it’s too late now. I will probably have to buy some nice insets to get the cushioning and support I need. Try them on and wear them around the house before you go outside and make sure they are comfortable.

I absolutely love these boots. They are very comfortable and weatherproof. I was worried that they might be too tall for me... I’m only 5’1... but the height is just perfect, hitting me right below the knee so the boot doesn’t get in the way when I bend my knee. I would only suggest that people with larger ankles not purchase this boot. My ankles are pretty slim and I have a hard time zipping the boot past the ankle area. Other than that, perfect!

I wanted boots to deal with the Chicago weather while running errands, or going out of town skiing. They can be worn with your jeans over the boot or with your jeans tucked in. They look good either way and you get a lot for price. I had to buy some inserts for these boots because I like to have extra arch support. With that being said, the boots are warm, waterproof, durable (so far) and they look cool. They do lack in support a little, but they are overall a solid boot.

These boots are fabulous - warm and comfortable. I bought them for snowshoeing in very cold weather and they have performed admirably - three friends have already bought some for themselves after my rave reports. Good traction, ankle support.

I first heard about these when I saw show featuring Brian Blessed, reviewing new hiking boots. He climbs Everest and Kilimanjaro, but has serious foot problems... and yet I was impressed at how much he loved these boots, which he thought perhaps the most comfortable he had ever tried... light, stable, flexible, and good enough for even the toughest climbs. I saw other reviews that were just as glowing, so I decided to pick up a pair. They are all that, and more. I tend to get plantar’s feet if I don’t wear shoe insoles, but the level of support with these boots are such that I don’t need to wear them at all with them. There was a *very* minimal breaking in period, which was thankfully without blisters. My feet used to ache after a few miles, especially on rocks, but walking in these feels so supportive, without all the jostles and jolts. I bought them for long hikes... but the fact is, I wear them every chance I get. They look pretty stylish, so it’s not hard to do. I even surprised myself by running in them at one point, which worked a *lot* better than I would’ve thought. I feel very, very happy with these boots, which I expect to wear non-stop for the next couple decades, if I have any say in it. They’re that good.

I love Salomon shoes, and these are no exception. As someone with high arches and in desperate need of really good arch support. Salomons have this. I know my size, and these shoes fit really well! What I like about these is that they’re also GoreTex - so they remain pretty waterproof regardless of what you do! I was hoping for something less flashy, as I’ll be backpacking around South America with these, and they don’t exactly fit in with dressy clothes... oh well!

This shoe has been nothing but a blessing for me. I am a larger athlete not built for running, but I love to run. These shoes provide excellent support for my larger frame for both indoor track and outdoor trail running. I take these everywhere because of how well they always perform. The only downside is gravel. Gravel gets into the deep treads on a regular basis. The orange and black look fantastic as well! This is my second pair of Solomons and these have already lasted me 9 months with heavy abuse.

Do not buy these shoes if you have a high instep. My husband could not get his foot in the shoe. Very nice looking, but unfortunately he had to return it.

Okay, so this is my first sneaker bought from Salomon, and I can happily say it won't be my last! Aside from the kooky lace set up, they are amazing! They look and feel great, the most comfortable sneaker right out of the box. I have a slightly wide foot and E width was perfect for me. I love putting these on!

Solid boot. I ordered Salomon after reading reviews with regard to ice traction. I walk my lab 2-3 miles every day before sun up and often slip on ice/slick snow in my current shoes. So far 2 days and 5 miles on them ice/hard pack snow and errand running. Very comfortable and warm. Snug in the mid foot, but roomy in the toe box and ankle (which is adjustable with laces). Very nice looking boot. Incredible Zappos service; arrived in 2 days.

I love these boots, and I love Zappos. The boots arrived so quickly, it made my head spin! And the boots are just as described, wonderful, and the price was better than any I found anywhere! I get loads of compliments on them, and I want to wear them every day. I find myself building an outfit around them just to show them off! They are not, in and of themselves, a warm boot, so plan on extra room for socks. But cozy, water-resistant, comfortable? Oh, yeah!

These boots are great. I wanted something that would be good when the snow gets high that would be warm and waterproof but not bulky and hideous. They are good for tromping around the city in the snow and slush and then not being too weighed down when you have to go indoors to a museum or a bar. They aren\'t really the warmest, but they are warm enough for a city/country girl. My only warning is if you have thick ankles, the zipper is tightest right there, which makes wearing bulky socks difficult. Get thinner, warm socks to wear with these.

When I first got these shoes, I wondered whether Salomon hadn't snuck into my room while I was sleeping and taken a cast of my feet for designing purposes. And they are almost perfect. Almost. Unfortunately, the imperfection is fairly serious. The 'break' in the uppers when I bend my foot dips in so deeply that it nails the tendons leading to my big toes. I still wear them, because the endorphins take over so they're not too painful while on a hike; but I can never wear them two days in a row lest I really injure my feet; and my big toe tendons are always really sore after I take them off. Too bad. If not for this problem, I wouldn't even care that mine are the color of band-aids. Next pair, I'm going for actual leather. I'll consider Salomon, but will try others as well. And I will probably never buy band-aid-colored shoes again in my life.

After wearing hiking boots for the first few hundred miles of the Pacific Crest Trail I had blisters beyond belief. I started looking for a more airy hiking shoe and after a few tries, found the exit aeros and hiked the remaining couple thousand miles in them. I love them! I have bought a total of five pairs of the autobahn color and two of the chamois color. Despite being the same model and size, both pairs of the chamois color shoes were incredibly uncomfortable on my heels. I ended up exchanging the unworn pair for the autobahn color.

Cute and warm, but was surprised that the sole provides fairly poor traction on snowy walks. Would have thought there would be better tread.
