Based on the above review I was nervous about ordering my normal size Salomon. I also have 7-8 pairs of Salomon trail shoes and have always ordered a 10.5. These shoes fit perfectly. They are not near as bulky as trail shoes which I would expect but I have no issue with the size. There is basically a sleeve on your foot but it does not feel tight at all. Highly recommend these shoes.

Shoe is stiff and the 7 is big compared to most. Nice look though. In sole was smaller than the shoe bed. Could feel it.

The toebox in these shoes is a little big, but overall, these sneakers are great. The arch support is amazing and they are very light. Great for running and walking. I highly recommend these sneakers!

Too tight across the bridge of my foot. So uncomfortable at I didn't leave them on long enough so see how I thought they would be for my heel pain. I order a have size up and didn't think they were too big in the length.

I bought these to walk the dogs on ice and snow. I figured they would be more comfortable than snow boots. Well, these shoes did not disappoint. From the moment I slipped these on and tightened the no-tie laces, my feet felt great. I've never owned shoes that required zero breaking in like these. They are worth every penny. Plus, the grips on the sole do help when my 90lb. dog decides to pull me across icy sidewalks.

The Speedcross 3 GTX were comfortable all around shoes until the laces broke in less than a year. I like the speed lacing but it appears that it cannot be replaced. The shoes are in great shape but the eye loops are so small the speed laces can not be replaced. Oh well, buy, buy Solomon and I did like these shoes. If you are still interested, they seem to run a little narrower than others.

First time buying Salomon boots and I love them! They are extremely comfortable, barely any break in time. I will say they run true to size, great arch support and run a bit wide. I would buy these again!

Great running trail shoe. I wanted durability on the trails, warmth for winter/water proof, and comfort. Had been wearing running sneakers, should've bought these years ago. I did go down one half size, always wear a 10 but purchased 9.5, they're perfect. Ran 5 miles today in muck, ice, rocks, and some pavement - all terrific.

This is my first winter with my puppy and I needed a shoe for our daily walks in the woods (mud, snow, cold, etc.). They work great!!! With wool socks, my feet are dry and toasty even in temps in the teens. My only personal preference would be laces, as opposed to the elastic. I have a hard time tightening them up. Otherwise, great!

Highly recommended. I'm a very tall 6'7" guy with size 14 shoe. I had a tough time finding larger sizes that are both functional and comfortable for trail/mud running. If you're a bigger guy look no further than the Salomon Speedcross 3.

These run half a size too small. Had to return them. What a shame. These are the best technical low tops on the market. The description doesn't have this but there is some kimd of strong shank because it does not flex like most low tops, meaning these are really technical shoes. The Contigrip rubber feels like car tires and is vastly superior to Vibram which suffers tremendously on icy and wet manmade or smooth surfaces. Contigrip is superior in ever way I can see to Vibram, which is hyped and over rated. These are my favorite low top trail runners of all time and my second favorite shoes of all time. I backpack bikepack and mountian bike.

The shoe fit as expected. The traction on cold Minnesota snow pack is wicked good! Very soft outsole rubber assures good traction. I will only wear these fro snow and mud running. Not good for dry pavement (tread will not last long). A lot like a high performance winter tire for your car. Overall this is a great shoe for me and winter running.

I love these shoes! They are great for running. They are very comfortable with lots of support. My only negative comment is the drawstring laces are a little long.

These are nicely made shoes that look like they would wear well. They have a generous toe box. Several people have commented that they run narrow, but when I put these on, I walked out of them with my first step. My feet have small bones, and narrow heels. If your feet are like mine, these may not fit you well. I had to return them.

I absolutely love these shoes. I am a trail runner training for an ultra marathon. I have tried Hokas and other shoes but I fell in love with these. I run on a lot of rocky and technical trails. I have had issues with plantar fasciitis so I really need the cushioning. They are super comfortable and I get compliments on them all of the time.

I run approximately 15 to 25 trail-miles a week. I couldn't do it without these shoes. They work extremely well on all types of terrain (e.g. dry, wet, slippery, and frozen) They are also great for gripping rock if your a hiker (however, little ankle support for avid outdoors fans). I'd recommend getting 1 size larger than you normally would for road running shoes. Also, I have a somewhat wide foot, but these still fit well (even with my own insoles). The quick lace system is easy, and doesn't loosen while in use, and the shoe is extremely well made. You'll wear through the tread, before the top falls apart. If you're into trail running or just want peace of mind while walking/hiking trails, check out Salomon, you won't be disappointed.

I wear size 9 1/2. I ordered that size, but they were way too big. I wouldn't say that it's a full size larger, but at least a half size larger. On the rating for size, a half size larger isn't an option. I re ordered a size 9, and while they fit much better than the 9 1/2, they are still roomy. That's why I voted that they felt wider than marked. Also, the ties aren't easy to tie. They slip loose if you don't double tie them and even then, they still seem to loosen eventually. I'm looking for some different ties. I called Salomon, and they didn't have any suggestions. The person I spoke with just said that they never had a complaint about the ties and that it's a manufacturing problem. I've worn them for a day, so can't return them. Any suggestions for non slip ties for this style hiking boot?

Not happy at all with these Salomons. I returned the first pair thinking I had a bad set...same with second pair. Too wide, lace biter will not hold, bad puckers in toe area.

Have about 30 miles on the Speedcross after 6 runs. Currently in northern Michigan-finally snow and a normal winter ahead, hopefully! The shoe has excellent grip on snow and most ice situations. I normally were a size 10 having a high arch and D width...6' 190lbs. Glad I ordered a size 11, fits great thru-out and nice room in the tow box. It's a narrow shoe, but fits well on my foot. Warm on my foot with temps in single digits. In short, so far a great shoe! Just watch the length and if your foot is wide.

I bought these for some unloaded, but brisk hiking in Colorado. I tried on about six pairs of boots before I settled on these. They were also the least expensive boot that I tried, by half of some pairs. The moment I put them on I knew they "were it." Without ever putting them on again until I was breathing rarefied air, I did a 7 mile hike. The boots felt like they were the only boots I'd ever had and this was our thousandth mile together. Since then I've wore them for every hike, including a couple of short loaded jaunts. (45-50# range) Nary have they missed a step, I would go so far as to call them "confidence inspiring" in rocky, off-camber stuff and damp, leafy stuff. I haven't put them into any "swamp donkey/hard core arkansas mud" situations, but I'll add to the review if I "get" that opportunity. On some purely technical the laces are good, but I've had some untying when I want to loosen the upper, but nothing to make one crazy. The tongue stays nicely centered, doesn't want to sag into the toe box and has a loop to assist. (I haven't needed it yet, but most boots need the help in "old-age") The eyelets don't "look tough" but I've had no issues with them and I like that they are riveted and pivot with the lace. The mid-boot locking lace guide is also excellent but has a little learning curve to it's operation. Toe cap is minimal, light, and sufficient. So far the sole of the shoe has been down-right excellent, I've very interested to see how it ages here in the flint rocks. I gave the styling 4 stars as I think they're OK and that's not why most people are buying this boot--they were not the best looking boot that I considered--again it's the wrong metric on which to measure this boot.
