I have sworn by these shoes for zumba for a long time. I use my own insoles, but have always been loyal to Ryka products. These shoes are like walking on air. I found that jumping in them did not hurt my joints, and I run into sore joints often. The only two issues I have ever had with these shoes are that they wore out quickly for me - granted I teach about 10 classes a week, and use a lot of high impact activity, so I found myself replacing them within a four month time period. Which is probably not that fast considering I teach often. But they are wonderful shoes for those that crash down hard on their feet. The second thing was there was an occasional time where I slid toward the outer part of the shoe's toe box on lateral movements and felt like I wore out that part of the shoe first. I think these shoes are very much cushioning shoes and less supportive shoes. So they are heaven for those who are hard on their feet. They provide great pillowy support, not as much as stability shoes.

What an exceptional company! My order arrived quickly and due to my unequal foot size, I had to return the order for a smaller size. The return label arrived without question, I had e.mail confirmation of their receipt of the returned shoes and my new pair of shoes were received within 24 hours and a credit to my CC was quickly given. The shoes were comfortable, if a little weighty for my small frame but excellent for my Zumba class. This was certainly the most trouble free and courteous company I have ever encountered since my arrival in America. Many other companies could learn a valuable lesson from them.

I am not one to write reviews but I always read them. These shoes are amazing and I had to speak up. I bought this as a typicl cross fit shoe for Insaity among other things. The fit my foot (which is on the narrow side) better than any shoe I have ever owned. The stability the offer is unparalled. Also, this shoe stylish and I have gotten several compliments already. I have to admit they look, feel, and perform better than anything else by far!

Perfect for Zumba. Lightweight, the soles allow for easy movement sideways, forward and backwards. There is good arch support. I looked at a lot of shoes and I was not disappointed in my decision.

Love this shoe -- very light, extremely comfortable, lots of support & stylish too. Love the long line the black shoe gives with black workout pants. Why not look good, right?! Would recommend to anyone who needs a great shoe for dance/aerobic-type activities.

These shoes are awesome. I have metrasal pain and these practically alleviate it. They provide good arch support, good insole cushioning and they are very light weight. They are also cute.

I have been Jazzercising for over 30 years and was so happy to see Ryka bring back so old school aerobic shoes. I hope Ryka continues making these shoes because I have tried their other styles and continue to search the Studio Flex out because they feel the best.

I bought these shoes for Zumba and I love them. In fact, this is my second pair. My first pair got worn out. They are a bit ugly, but they are great for wearing in my Zumba class. I have wide feet, narrow ankles and these shoes fit me very well.

Shoe performs as described. Lightweight enough for dance-type activity, but also providing good support. Toe box large, as promised, allowing for comfort. Wished I could have gotten them in white, rather than black, but they weren't available in that color when I needed them.

Comfort comfort comfort! Finally an all black well ventilated Tenni ! For years I wanted this but the only thing I could find was an all black solid leather Tennis shoe. That was way too hot to wear, and they usually looked dorky too. This shoe is not only cool looking but it is cool on the foot. Easy to dance in a wear with my dressier pants with out standing out like other multi color, bright, and sport wear looking shoes. Thank you for making it. I'm buying a second pare before they run out of it!

I live on the Big Island of Hawaii boonies; no where on the island to see nor buy these. I read the reviews, bought them and I absolutely love them! These are the best athletic shoes I have ever had. I have narrow feet; got half a size larger as suggested, and they fit perfectly. I can even wiggle my toes which is a delight. They feel steady and very supportive. My feet are flat; no problem with any arch bothering me. I would buy them in the white/silver if they were available! Also, many thanks to Zappos! For years they did not offer free shipping to Hawaii. So I wrote them off 10 years ago. But they came up on the search and lo and behold they were shipping to Hawaii now too! I was thrilled. We have no malls, nothing here. The Big Island is not Oahu where Waikiki is.
Brands I'd also recommend: None, better than any of the top brands I've had in the past!

I got these shoes for Zumba class and really like them. They run a little wider than other Zumba shoes such as the Nike Musique, which was perfect for me. If you look at the product image of the shoe's bottom, you can get a good idea of the width.

Great for Zumba! If your feet cannot take the "dance sneakers" aka shoes with no arch support, you might give these a try. While not super supportive, my feet don't feel like nails are being driven into the arches 10 minutes into a 60 minute Zumba class. Plus - the uppers are made of mesh - nice and airy.

I use these for Zumba twice a week. They let the ball of your foot move with less traction so my knees are happier. On humid nights, they do not slide very well, but, most nights they move on the concrete/vinyl floors well. They have just the right amount of cushioning for Zumba, but, I would not run in them. I have high arches and wide feet so there is very little shoelace left by the time I get them loosened to my liking. I tried the slightly cheaper version of Ryka studio shoes and I could not move my feet they were so stiff. I was using a New Balance and Nike shoe before these, both of which were definitely not a good choice. These are also extremely lightweight.

Awesome comfort, lightweight, and breathable. I'm a nurse and wear these when I take my kick-scooter to work; they make the travel a breeze, and hold up for a 12-hour shift, too. 5 stars all around for these comfy sneaks.

These shoes have been great! I was having pain in my calf and ankle before I started working out in these. Since I have been wearing these I have not had any pain. Ryka Studio Flex are great for a dance cardio workout!
