I have worn Rykas for many years and this is the first pair that have hurt my feet. These are very lightweight and feel like there is no support, especially in the front of the shoe. I have tried them with orthotics and without and they are so uncomfortable. My shins also hurt after wearing them. I would not advise anyone to purchase these shoes.

These run a full size too small. The 10.5 fit like a size 9.

This is the 2nd pair of Ryka running shoes I purchased. They are very light and feel great running. I tried ordering them directly from the Ryka web site but they were backordered 1 month. I ordered from Zappos that same day with regular shipping. I received them in less than 24 hours with free shipping. These were in big demand but Zappos had them at same cost as the Ryka website.

Loved these shoes until the rubber heel on the outside started breaking away from the shoe and fell off today. I owned them for 3 months, and walk an average of 8-10 miles a week. I really expected them to last longer. I got them because I have custom orthotics and the insole can come out. I have owned Saucony and Adidas for years and put more miles on them and they never ripped apart on the heel like this did. I'm disappointed in the quality of the construction and I'm hoping I just got a couple lemons.

Update from my review yesterday. I called Ryka and told them what happened today, they said I definitely must have a pair of lemons and will take care of them. I'm so excited to get them replaced. They were awesome shoes! My sister has worn Ryka for years and has never had the problem I did and I googled it after I posted my review and didn't find a thing. Guess I got a unique pair! From a comfort standpoint, these are the best I've ever owned, and super breathable/lightweight which is important with custom orthotics. :)

This is an additional note to my original review. I was extremely disappointed in these shoes to begin with and even more so in 3 months when they began to fall apart. This is my second pair of Rykas in which the heel flap has fallen off. I noticed that another customer had the same problem. Ryka needs to reevaluate their construction process. I have owned nothing but Rykas for years and I am sorry to say this will be my last pair.

I love these shoes. The toe box is extra wide and the cushioning is great and they have a removable innersole. Very comfortable.

I did buy these through a retail store and had to return them, the gel heel came detached and I only had them a very short time. I do wear a 7, but always buy a 7.5 in gym shoes. Store was great and returned my money.

I love this sneaker. I have been using it a few times/week for the last few weeks with light running, treadmill and it is really comfortable. I have had the Ryka walking shoe for the last 5 years or so and the store I usually get them didn't have the running shoe. Zappos was great.
