Rugged Shark

Very comfortably supportive but a little hot to wear for long periods.

I'm wearing my 3rd pair of Rugged Shark Hatteras shoes. They are among the most comfortable shoes I wear. I wear them so much that I wear out the soles eventually (after 4 or 5 years). I'm retired 18 years and wear them on my 32 Ft. SportFisherman on lake Superior. The aft cockpit gets quite slippery with water and fish slim when a fish comes aboard. When they are new I give them 2 or 3 coats of water repellant and they shed H2O very well. They are great "Deck shoes" but when the bottoms wear smooth they get too slippery on a wet deck. Good looking loafer style. I got them to wear with summer casual, instead of the usual flip-flop or sandal. (Got the Rugged Shark flip-flop for the shorts, and they're great also.) These shoes are unique looking and feeling - all Rugged Sharks are as comfortable as house slippers.

Much richer looking than your average leather flip-flop, and there are a lot of them out there. I was glad to see Shark finally come out with one, as it is unique in looks and quality. Clings snuggly to the foot, and with the gripping sole, works very well on the boat.

These are very nice looking, very comfortable shoes. I wish I had never bought them! One big reason for my purchase of these shoes was the non-slip sole. I sell products to restaurants for a living and wanted shoes that would allow me to work in slippery environments. Not only are these not non-slip, they are more slippery than most everyday shoes, especially on wet surfaces. Wearing these shoes on a rainy day is suicide. Who ever heard of "boat" shoes that only work on dry or carpeted surfaces? I've bought $15 non-slip shoes with truly non-slip soles, I don't understand why a company designing shoes at this price can't figure it out. Not recommended.

I have purchased Rugged Shark shoes in the past and have been very pleased with the quality, comfort and fit of the shoes I have purchased. Rugged Shark Atlantics are very comfortable and a good value along with looking great. As a boater I appreciate the sole design which works well.

My husband would settle for nothing less than these Rugged Shark Atlantic shoes. Soft insole, waterproof & comfortable from first moment he put them on. These are his second pair (1st pair lasted 3-4 years with constant wear!).

I really like my new Rugged Shark Classic shoes. The shoes are lightweight and very comfortable. I especially like 2 eyelet shoes. I wore the shoes to Hershey, Pa.to the world's largest RV show. The shoes felt good on my feet all day. I like the color, too. It's hard to find good shoes in a light color. Zappos is a great place to buy your shoes.

I love Rugged Sharks and could not find them locally.The order was prompt and what I expected. I am very satisfied with the shoes and have no regrets. Thank you.

I purchased original pair @2years ago and enjoyed them. I ordered new pair and Zappos shipped them to me. There was no shipping charge and I received them in @ 3 days. This surprised me because I live on a small island in S C and next day air usually takes three days. I also ordered Rugged Shark Marlin Plus tennis shoes and received them in three days. Go For It!This is an excellent shoe that is well constructed, extremely comfortable, and an outstanding value. I would term the shoe a hybrid as it is well suited for both dry and wet applications, with the wet side an obvious design feature as they appear more a "boat" type style. The soles are rather thick, but for comfort, weight (extremely light), and durability, you can't go wrong.

Great shoe, needs minor improvement - Love these shoes, second pair. First pair had the heel cord come through the back. Should be covered in leather. Second pair has same fault. Otherwise, love the shoes!

I wear these shoes virtually every day in an office environment. Once I got additional arch support, they are very comfortable. However, after only a few months they are falling apart. In particular, the interior fabric is coming apart at the heel and toe. External parts are coming unglued. I usually get 9 months out of shoes like these; Rugged Shark is not so rugged.

Great all around casual shoe - This wears well as we have already gone thru several pairs. Good sporty look with heavy sole for comfort and shock resistance.

Rugged Shark the best boat shoe`No other shoe that tries to combine style and function can match the rugged shark's comfort and durability. I have owned many pairs, and they actually never go away - just the soles eventually wear out. They don't look like the rest, and they are like wearing pillowed bedroom slippers. Hard to find in stores, but Zappos keeps them around. Also, if you like a certain style, get 2 pairs, as they seem to change a lot.

Sharks satisfy - Rugged Shark Atlantic is a great shoe. I bought my first pair last year and was very pleased. In fact I took them oversea with in February where I expected to do a lot of walking. They were great. Probably the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. My second pair was only necessary to change the color since the first pair refuses to wear out.

Boat Shoes - I bought a pair of Rugged Shark Exhuma and they were the most comfortable shoe that I have ever had on. When I went to buy another pair, there was none in stock so I bought the Atlantic and am very satisfied with them. The Atlantic, to me don't look as good as the Exhuma but are just as comfortable.

Under Appreciated Sharks - Some years ago I bought a pair of Sharks through a catalog. I was very pleased; the comfort was wonderful, the construction was such that the shoes lasted several years of heavy wear. Since I didn't remember the catalog, I googled "Shark", found your website, and ordered a new pair. They are equal to my first pair.

Great Shoes - I cannot say enough great things about these shoes. I wear them more often than I should because the look and comfort are awesome. Ready to buy my second pair.
