Soooo bummed! These boots are not even close to black! They are grey! I'm really disappointed because I finally found a pair of tall boots that fit over my calves and they're not the right color at all!

Borderline - So I have been dying to have a pair of zip up boots. I am 5'4'' and have 17 inch calves. Nice, huh. So I got these in "black leather" and was totally disappointed in what I received. The color was more of a dull gray. From what others have said I am not even going to try and shine them up. Sadly, I am sending them back, even though I was able to zip them up. They did take a little work to get them up, but they zipped, which is more than I can say for any other zip boot. Still on the lookout. Love, love, love Zappos and the quick delivery and easy return policy!

Not Brown - Yeah, I definitely agree with the commenter below me. I just held these up to the light, and they are undeniably a very deep plum. However, this is an incredibly comfortable boot, which I could realistically see myself wearing for an entire day. I have returned 6 other boots because of my calves, but these definitely fit thick calves. But I still don't think they are worth the price. I'll be returning them.

That Choco color is NOT brown!!! I have returned two pairs of boots from Zappos. The first pair was totally my fault, as I didn't notice the ugly yellow rubber sole on one pair. The second pair was on Zappos, as the boot was actually not wide calf at all. Now I purchase the Beppo boot, which seems to me to be just like Jigsaw, in what is supposed to Choco (dark brown) leather. Well, the boot fits great, looks exactly like the picture EXCEPT IT'S NOT REALLY BROWN!!! It's some sort of deep purplish, reddish, brownish business. It's not an unattractive boot, but I really was expecting brown! I'm tired of returning shoes to Zappos, though I'm very impressed with their free return shipping AND overnight shipping on items purchased with store credit. Nice touch. I'll keep the boots and see if I can get some kind of ... I don't know what I can do to them! I'd hate to return them AGAIN, but the boot is JUST NOT BROWN!

Awesome Fit - These boots are great. Finally boots that fit my calves comfortably. I was also able to dance the night away in them without painful feet the next day.

Just alright... I didn't expect much by the reviews. I will say that the boots zipped over my large calf. Beware that the leather is dull. I moisturized and shined these boots to no avail. The sole is thin and the boots don't look cheap. However I kept them since they fit my calf. I will try polishing them again. The toe and shoe is shaped funny as well. You will need gel inserts for some comfort.

Nice Boots - I read the reviews about the boots and ordered a size up like the reviews suggested and they fit wonderful! And they fit my calves which I was most happy about. The only thing that I did not like is that a heel broke with in 3 weeks of having the boots.

These boots were made for compliments but not much walking - I bought these boots based on online reviews. I had spent a frustrating day at the mall unable to find anything that would zip up my calf. I don't consider myself fat--I wear a size 12 and I work out every day. Anyway, these fit my calves perfectly and the pointy toes are very sexy. The sole is pretty thin--I went out at lunchtime and bought insoles which helped. Everyone in my office loved my boots.

Finally, boots I can wear! I'm very excited because I finally am able to wear ALL leather tall boots that fit my calves. I am 5' tall and not a large girl. I've always had muscular calves. I wear a 7 - 7.5 shoe size and could never ever ever find boots that fit me right. These look good, fit perfect and are very comfortable. I ordered them late Friday night and they came today (Monday 12/31). I decided to try them out so I wore them all day running around town running errands and was warm and comfortable. I especially like how the entire inside of the boot is covered with padding and fabric so your legs are nice and cozy if you don't wear tights. I give these boots a big thumbs up.

The boots arrived promptly (of course) and they were as advertised. The fit was fine; however, the boots are fairly uncomfortable. The ball of the foot has not padding and I was ready to take them off after a few hours. The wide calf was a perfect fit.
