When these boyshorts arrived in the mail I was shocked to see that they are actually made of the same material as a wet suit! I was looking for a more modest alternative to a bikini bottom that would actually stay put in the waves at the beach. I guess when it says "1mm thickness" you are supposed to understand that's a term used to describe the weight of wetsuits...my bad! Not being a surfer, I missed that part. Also, the drawstring inside the waist in the back is very awkward and not really comfortable. I wouldn't recommend these if you are just looking for traditional swimsuit bottoms.
