I have ordered many wide calf boots and returned them disappointed that they are not what they claim to be...wide calf! I ordered these boots in my normal size, however, in a WW and they zipped all the way to the top with no problem. If you're like me and have wide calves, this boot will be the answer to your prayers. This boot is so comfortable. There was no break in needed. The ankle is a little big on me but I do have a larger calf and a small ankle. So every boot I wear has that problem. They also run a little small. I ordered a 7½ because they were out of my regular size 7, and I'm glad I did. I have received a lot of compliments while wearing them.

Measure your calf circumference before you order. I thought I had wide calves, but these were way too big around. Too bad for me - it is a lovely boot.

Lovely soft leather, great rich brown color boots but the wide shaft is too wide for me even though I have full calves. I can fit my entire hand down the zipped up boot. Sorry to send them back. Hope Zappos gets in the regular shaft size that I didn't think I could ever zip up! Zappos is the best.

Great boots! I normally wear a 12ww but bought the 13ww just in case, especially since I have large calves and can never find boots that fit. I just got these and they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. The are very well made and worth the price, although if they were cheaper I would have gotten 2. It is so great to have stylish shoes that fit!

Very good boots! In the picture the heel looks a little funny, but then I saw the video and they looked nice on the model. They arrived and they look great on me! I have thick legs and I want a nice simple boot. So hard to find! Also, because my legs are thick I don't want too masculine of a boot. Some riding boots make me look like a highway patrol officer. Not these! These are feminine, and they fit and they are so cute. They are really good quality, and smell so lovely and leathery. I am very pleased with my purchase. If you have wide calves and want a flattering boot, these are for you!

The width is great at the foot but at the cafe, it would fit a women who weighed maybe 300 lbs. Style is great it is just too wide at the cafe!

My calf is 17 1/4, and these boots were too small. Otherwise I would have kept them.

I was able to zip this boot up...yeah! Unfortunately, I will be returning it. There is too big of a gap at the top of the boot. It seems to gape out on the sides. I ordered a different pair of Bandolini boots and they fit much better. I can't wait to wear them!

These boots are fantastic! They are made with high quality soft, supple leather. I have an 18" calf muscular calf, but do not have large ankles. Other boots that I tried had huge ankles if they fit my calves. These fit me perfectly. Do not shy away from the price, they are well worth it! Also, the shipping was extremely fast, I received them two days after I ordered them.

Love these boots. The wide shaft is true to the product description. I am pleased that a nice looking boot is made for gals with bigger calves. There is a small section of elastic covered by leather that gives the extra width. This is positioned discreetly at the inside of the calf near the zipper. Overall, a well-made boot, leather is supple. Definitely recommend.

These boots have a timeless, classic look. They go with skirts and dresses. I don't wear pants with them. I don't look good with pants stuck inside boots or wear pants that wide that the boot would go under it. The shaft was roomy, almost too roomy but very comfortable. The bonus was a zipper!
