One word...disaster! I was shocked when I got this boot! I love Hommerson shoes. The quality is so unbelievable that one look at the boot shaft made me cringe...I actually put my noise up to it to smell if it was true leather Now on the positive side...the fit is absolutely WONDERFUL! If you have muscular or heavy legs and the wide shaft just doesnt cute it this will (it was way too big for me) Another positive the actual show part is high quality well fitting....it was only the shaft of the boot that made me send it back but Hommerson you didn\'t let me down I found another that I am in absolute love with and it has a heel (which is really what I wanted anyway) I LOVE YOU ZAPPOS!
Brands I'd also recommend: Birkenstock, Dansko, Soft Walk, Born, Uggs, Emu, (almost any German shoe)!

I was apprehensive of this boot because of the previous user's review. I'm so happy I did not listen! It is beautiful and looks like a good grade of leather. Very cute with A-line dress & tights.

An awesome casual boot. Like I mentioned in my review of the "Satin" style, I have an 18" calf, so I've never actually owned boots! These are GREAT! There is a stretch panel, so I was even able to tuck jeans inside, although it was a tight fit. I walked about a mile and they were super comfortable and I didn't slip on hills. Gorgeous leather, awesome boot! I wear an 8½ EE in shoes, but got the 9WW in these boots and they fit my feet perfectly.

I loved the boot but after only having it on for 15 minutes the ankle area started to bunch up, giving the boot an unattractive slouchy look. I wish the leather was a bit more structured at the ankle to keep a nice clean look.

First boots ever! I have 20" calves which made it very very difficult to find anything that fits. But these boots fit! They are comfy and provide extra warmth around your calves. Love 'em. Only faults I find is the bunching around the ankle. I usually wear 8 but ordered 8, but it actually fits well.

These boots are a wonderful and fit as described - however, the one problem was the lack of arch support. I was so sorry to send them back but I couldn't use them with my orthotics - because my arch is too high with the orthotics in this particular boot. I LOVE working with Zappos to find the right fit (usually) and find they have the BEST customer support of any place I've ever dealt with - they are enthusiastic, pleasant, know how to really listen and absolutely work with their customers like no one else! There is not much of a selection to choose from when you need such a wide shaft, considering that I'm happy with the boots. I measured my calf at 19 inches and these boots fit well. I don't have cankles so they are a little roomy in the ankle and rub just a little. The rubbing is not too bad, but I haven't had them on for more than 4 hours at a time. The foot is very comfortable. I ordered the wide width size too and they feel true to the width.

Love these boots! I have wide calves and they zipped! No pulling or tugging, they zipped! They are beautiful; the leather is supple. I am thrilled. I can't believe I finally found a pair of boots that I can wear that actually fit! Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! Thank you Zappos!

Loved these boots. The leather is supple and soft, great feel. The style is classic. My huge Fred Flintstone feet fit comfortably, but the calf was just too wide for me and the shaft a little too tall.

This is a great wide calf boot! I wear a size 24 and have trouble finding boots wide enough for me. These boots even gave me a little extra space to tuck in my jeans! They look a bit too country style for me so I will be returning them. Great fit though.

Love, love love these boots! They look beautiful and are extremely comfortable. I have never bought these kind of boots before due to my wide feet, ankles, and calves. They feel great even after wearing them all day and spending a lot of time on my feet. Am thinking of getting more Ros Hommerson boots!

I typically wear an 8 or 8.5 W but I love a WW when I can get it! These are plenty wide and the calf might be even a smige too wide, but better too wide than not wide enough. They are uber comfy.

Received these boots and was very happy with the quality...I have a large calf (16 1/2) and have always had a hard time finding boots. These are perfect...can even fit pants inside.
