I bought these shoes in the black/bronze color so that I could wear them with both black and brown outfits when I travel and carry one less pair of shoes. The bronze has a hint of redness to it - a truer gold-bronze can be found in the black/bronze Mokassetta 211. The large black stripe on either side of the shoe is made of a slightly stretchy fabric - I exchanged the first pair I bought because the black material had been damaged, much like the effect of yanking velcro off a spandex bathing suit. I'm fairly careful with my shoes, so I'm not worried about this in the long term, but if you're hard on shoes, this could be a concern. The height is enough to dress these up a bit, and it's comfortable; the shape of the footbed is also comfortable, and because the sole and heel are polyurethane, there is no problem with the lack of padding in the footbed. If your feet are any wider than a true B (medium), you may find these shoes to be narrow near the arch.

I purchased a size 7 M in the bronze color and have worn them once so far. I normally wear a size 7 M in open heeled shoes and these fit perfectly. When I first tried them on I could feel a seem from the end of the fabric insole on the ball of my foot. I thought this was going to cause problems the 1st time I wore them & almost returned the shoes for this reason but I did not get any blisters or foot pain from my first day of wearing these shoes. They looked good with the brown pants I wore them with. The quality seems good and the leather used is soft & supple. The bronze leather has a subtle hint of glitter in it.

This is one of three pairs of Romika Mokassetta shoes I own (I also have the 244 and the 211). The fit is true to size (38 = 7.5), and although the footbeds aren't padded, the polyurethane outsoles are cushioned enough and the heels low enough that I can easily wear them all day on a day where I'm doing plenty of walking. I bought the bronze/black combination so that I could take them on business trips and wear them with black and brown outfits, reducing my shoe count by one. They look great with jeans. The whole shoe is probably too heavy-looking to wear with capris, shorts, or skirts in the spring and summer although they would definitely work with dark tights in the fall and winter.

These are fantastic shoes, whether you are standing a lot, or walking a lot. Romika has been one of the stand-bys for me for years, mainly due to functionality, but I also like the quality-meets-eurostyle aspect.

I love the fit and feel of Romika shoes but this style made my size 9 feet look larger than some other styles do. I wore a Romika Hawaii wedge heel all summer and it was the only shoe that relieved the bursitis pain in my hips caused by a very crooked spine - I need the tilt of a heel as flats are murder. And the Hawaiis are so cute! So I'll try a different style.

I purchased both color combinations of this shoe. They fit like a glove and the size is as true as I've always found Romika to be. I find Romikas to always support my high arches better than any other shoes that I've ever worn. I ordered 2 sizes to be sure of fit and got a rapid return and credit to my account for the shoes that I returned. The customer service rep that I contacted to arrange my return was fabulous! I love it!
