Great Rollerblades - Extremely comfortable compared to older models. Like the cable closure system, fast and makes skate fit comfortably without any really bad pressure points. Highly recommend, fast too.

Crossfire 90 Rollerblades - I skate 5 days per week 5 miles a day. I like the skates new lace system, very easy ON and OFF with the skates, although I am concerned how long the lace/string will last before I break it by pulling it too tight. The left boot has been very uncomfortable for me; once I get going I try not to think about the discomfort (maybe just my left foot). So far overall I like the skate.

Awesome Skates - The Crossfire 90 are some really nice skates. I found the quality of the fit and finish of the skates to be very high. The stock wheels are decent and the ABEC 7 bearings are very nice. The boot is very comfortable, but is a little wide for my foot. Even with the extra room, though, I haven't found control of the skate to be compromised. The closure system is nice, but I'm also worried that either the handle or the cord will break when I'm pulling it hard to get the skates tight. Hopefully it'll last, because I'd hate to be without these skates.

Lace system does not last!!!!! I agreed with all of the previous positive posts until my lace system pulled apart this week. I am a recreational skater who skates 2 or three times a week for about 9 miles each outing. I was worried about pulling the lace system apart from the beginning. My fears came true; I bought them through a 3rd party. I am waiting to hear back from Rollerblade about warranty work, they are only a few months old and only 3 or 4 days on them. Seriously consider buying these skates... :(

Weak Material - I did about 60 miles on these and when it came time for wheel rotation, I discovered that the wheel screws/axles (made out of aluminum) will strip when attempt is made to unscrew them. All eight screws on my blades are stripped and I cannot get them out. Be careful when tightening them. I had to tighten mine as the wheels were moving from side to side...I would not buy this product again.

About Rollerblade
Through the years Rollerblade has lead the way in product development and achieved several industry firsts, such as polyurethane boots and wheels, metal frames, dual bearings, and heel brakes. Ventilated shells, breathable liners, buckle closure systems, cored wheel design, graduated brake design and Active Brake Technology (ABT)® are just handful of features that set Rollerblade above the rest.
Developing a specific women´s fit has helped Rollerblade cater the female skaters with aggressive skates, speed skate and fitness/recreational skates alike. Expandable kids skates with the push of a button and no tools helps make Rollerblade the first choice in kids skates. TFS closure technology, eliminating the need for lacing, lends a hand to improving the skating experience in men´s, women´s and kid´s Rollerblade skates.
Adding protective gear has been a natural progression for Rollerblade. Helmets, wrist guards, elbow pads and knee pads are designed by Rollerblade to provide the maximum safety for adults and kids. Ventilation and breathable materials add to Rollerblade´s protective gear comfort so you can get the most from skating lifestyle Rollerblade- from head to toe.

Lace system failure!!!!!! I purchased these skates in July of 07, on my 4th outing the lace system failed. I was tightening the boots and the cable failed to retract. Returned and was told it was a warranty issue. I let them know my fear of having this happen after the warranty is up and being stuck. Since I used them I was unable to get my money back, long story short 3 weeks later the replacement part came and they were not able to fix it. Good news for me! I was refunded my money and upgraded to the Rollerblade Lightning 2. The $50 difference was worth every penny, from the moment I put the skates on I knew I had made the right choice. The fit and comfort of the new skates were a lot better and having laces and not having to worry about cable system is a godsend.

Care & Beating of Crossfire 90 - This is for the guy with boot fit probs. My Crossfires were better than most skates for comfort, but still hurt some. I do allot of trails, & did not beat the rain a couple of times; try getting them wet & skating. (bearings hate getting wet, so rain is a poor choice). Now the skates fit super comfortable. Also use some duct tape & micro foam on your feet if there is a prob. area. I do my arches. Closure has lasted 1300 mi & counting. You can soak the stock bearings in turbine oil with good results even though you can't open them up. I am lusting after the Crossfire w/100mm wheels. Oh yea.
Brands I'd also recommend: Don't get K2s
