Strayed a bit to try this shoe. Was very stiff and uncomfortable out of the box. Quite a bit of stiffness on top of shoe tongue which pressed into feet. May take good amount of wear to break in, but I wasn't willing to do that. Back to Born and Ecco brands which have been great in the past for me.

These are very comfortable shoes right out of the box. Contrary to the previous review my shoes are soft and needed no breaking in. They are fantastic walking shoes, by design they nearly walk for you. I stand on concrete all day at work and only Rockport has met my comfort requirements.

These shoes looked well made but they did not fit the width of my foot. They were supposed to be wide width but they did not feel wide. I have had other Rockport shoes that fit perfectly.

It's always a bit odd to see what other people have to say about a product. You have to wonder sometimes if they're reviewing the same item. In my case, I found the shoe to be well made, about the same color as in the picture, and a bit narrower than other Rockport shoes that I own. But they were quite flexible and I wore them out of the box for a trip to New Orleans where I took long walks every day. A bit narrow but otherwise very comfortable.
