For nearly 40 years, the Rockport® Company has been an industry innovator, the first to use advanced materials and technologies in classically styled shoes for men and women.
The Rockport philosophy of Walkability™ is simple: it means a shoe should fit your foot, not the other way around. It means premium materials, tailored to your lifestyle. It means adiPRENE™ by adidas® technology for comfort where you need it. It means developing innovative footwear engineering that responds to the foot's natural movements.
Building the ultimate footwear for a diverse and active lifestyle means constant evolution. The brand's unique partnership with adidas and the integration of adiPRENE technology into their collections is just the latest collaboration in a proud history of applying athletic-shoe science to casual and dress footwear.
Rockport's current collection is designed with the metropolitan professional in mind; shoes that take you from a challenging workday to a night out to a weekend away. Rockport styles are updated with more tailored, sophisticated profiles, offering a new, dress-up/dress-down versatility for men and women.
There is a renewed focus on classic patterns and an emphasis on quality, both in the materials used and in the construction of the shoe itself. Investing in a timeless product simply makes sense. The formerly causal, relaxed silhouettes have evolved into more tailored, sophisticated, and versatile profiles.

Garbage. The rubber around the heel of the shoe is the dumbest idea I've ever seen. While it may look good in pictures I'm glad I listened to a reviewer say wear long socks. I bought long socks especially for these and boy am I lucky I did. Even with long socks that rubber stuff destroys what's underneath the sock - usually your ankle. Since they ran at least a size small - I normally wear a 14 or 15 and got 15 and these feel like a 13 - they absolutely destroyed my socks after a day of walking in them. While they are in fact light, they just look like old man shoes. Really not for me. I ended up taking a pair of scissors and cutting off the entire rubber stuff at the heel of the shoe and alleviated some of the abrasions but not entirely. For the price they were absolutely garbage.

These shoes run small, both in length and width. I needed a 10 EE and ordered that. I will need a size larger and wider.

These shoes rule. Super light. I like that they spell light, Lite. Drink a Miller Lite and put on these lite shoes. Sole is comfortable. Shoe breathes and helps prevent stinky feet. Dark brown version looks formal enough to wear with business casual dress. Much better option than the leather Skechers I have worn to work for years.

I have always loved Rockports, because I have wide feet. I was a bit surprised when the "wide" felt too tight, but I sent it back and got an "extra wide" and that fit great. I love these shoes. Extremely comfortable and very light weight.

These shoes are built like sneakers. They are extremely light, and very comfortable. After my son saw my Mudguards he purchased a pair for himself and wears them to work on Wall Street. It is an excellent shoe that can be worn with jeans or corporate casual. No break in period. Zappos is also excellent.
I'd also recommend: New Balance
