I am happy with the Rockport shoes I recently purchased but I have a narrow foot and the medium width is slightly too wide but I can live with it, and would definitely purchase shoes through Zappo in future.

I couldn't be happier with these great looking chukkas, with some of that famous Rockport cushioning. I wear a size 11 D, and I ordered the 11 Medium, but I was thrilled to see they weren't snug or narrow but allow my feet a little room to move inside in all directions. The nice thing about having a little room inside is they don't grip your feet, which inevitably makes them hot and achy within a couple of hours (a problem with most athletic shoes, except my favorites, the Saucony Jazz Originals in a full size larger). These chukkas are comfortable for an all day outing. And because of the roomy interior, I can add another thin layer of cushioning, or take the cushioned insert out (made by Adidas) and add a custom Dr. Scholls orthotic, which will provide more cushioning and also arch support. I'm probably going to do that, for max comfort, although these are quite comfortable out of the box. Note: If you like a snugger fit, have a slightly narrower foot, or aren't concerned about adding more cushioning, you might try one-half size smaller. The rubber outsole is also fairly thick and the heel is a full 1 1/8 inches high, which makes me taller (nice). I ordered the bitter chocolate, which is a beautiful dark chocolate color that allows me the option of dressing them up or down. I can wear these casually, with jeans turned up at the cuff, showing more shoe, or for dress, with dark jeans and cuff down, and a blaser, for a hip night out. The dark color also won't show stains and dirt spots that typicaly plague lighter color suede shoes. These shoes are also very well made, which suggests several years of wear, making them a great value for the money. Also important, I got a thumbs-up from my fashionista wife, who works at Saks Fifth Avenue and is routinely voted "best dressed employee." She knows her fashion, and she says these are hot, especially in the chocolate color. But aside from the great looks and good price, I especially like that they come with some cushioning, and also give me the option to add more. I just don't like hard shoes anymore. Rockport has made these right. And, as usual, I got Zappos amazing overnight delivery. Thanks, guys!
