Disappointed - I’ve worn Rockports for many years and have generally been happy with the quality. Not true in this case. Fit was not consistent with other Rockports of the same size and style. The shoe did not have a high quality look and finish. Comfort was much below what I have come to expect from Rockport. I’ve heard the quality issue comment from others regarding recent Rockport shoes.

Good looking but painful - Painful to wear. Shoe does not break in at all. Pinched my toes while walking. Would not recommend.

Bad fit - I have a high instep and had difficulty getting into this shoe. I returned it. I did like the way it looked. I was knocked out by the service. I ordered the shoes (I ordered another pair and kept those) about 8:00 pm Thursday night and they arrived the next day. I couldn't believe it!

My husband does not have much luck finding shoes that fit - with a small and wide foot - here we have no trouble! This is now the only place we are buying his shoes - casual and dress.

Fantastic fit and looks great! These shoes look fabulous with dress slacks. My husband got them for his work. He is an M.D. and is on his feet all day. He says they are very comfortable and true to size and width. They don't look like a lot of the 'old man' shoes that are considered "dress". Rockport was also featured in the July 2007 "Stuff" magazine.

Best shoes for hard floors - I "emergency" ordered the Rockports after walking four days on retail stores' floors in leather soled loafers. The Rockport fit is very good. The comfort and support they provide is incredible. I can't say enough about the style. They are among the most "current" shoes in my wardrobe and they are easily the most comfortable. I've worn shoes costing three times as much without the comfort Rockports provide. Fan for life!

Dissapointed in Rockport - Something has happened to Rockports. I have been wearing only Rockports for at least 10 years. They always fit beautifully and were extremely comfortable. There was no break-in period; one could wear them all day, immediately. This pair fits but it is requiring a long break in period. They are not particularly comfortable or cushioned and sometimes pinch. This is the second or third pair of Rockports, different style, for which I have had this experience. Reluctantly, I am going to have to find another brand.

I'll only wear Rockport shoes...nothing else comes close. These were a tad snug when I first put them on and reading other reviews I thought I should have ordered a half size larger. After a week they were broken in nicely and are now incredibly comfortable and airy. So much nicer than shoes 3 times as expensive...and a whole lot lighter! Like walking on air.

Brands I'd also recommend: Any Rockport shoe is far better than the competition.

Son Loves Mom's Choice - Our son recently began his venture into the business world with a major league soccer team. As a gift, I told him we would buy two pairs of dress shoes, but they had to be Rockports. Son husband has always found them wonderful. He wasn't too impressed, but went along with it since they were free. Yesterday he told me to write a review to say they were the best shoes he has ever had in his life. They feel so good, and look so sharp---comfortable and fashionable with lots of compliments from his fellow workers. I knew I did not raise a fool!

Good shoe at a good price - Overall happy...big fan of Rockport. I was a bit disappointed that the toe was more box than point but the box adds greater comfort to the front of the foot. However, it is a bit less dressy than I would have liked. Very comfortable out of the box.

Just what I was looking for in looks and construction. But I'm frustrated with the fit. This shoe was definitely narrower than other Rockports I've owned in the same size. I ordered (and returned) the same shoe in a size wider and they were much too wide. I used to be a big fan of Rockport, but lately their size inconsistency is changing my opinion. I still haven't worn this shoe yet. Not sure whether to return or try and break it in. I wish I could wear it a couple times and still be able to return it if it still felt too tight.

Great Shoes, Great Service - I ordered my shoes on Saturday afternoon and received them on Monday. They were very comfortable right out of the box. This is my second pair of Rockport shoes from Zappos and both pairs are great.

Looks Great , Feels Great - In fact I am wearing them right now! I wore them right out of the box and they felt great. No break-in time. These shoes have plenty of room for orthotics (arch supports). I am a car salesman and am on my feet 10 to 12 hours a day. I would have ordered a black pair but they did not have it in my size.

Only thing better would have been .... The only thing better would have been to have someone reading my mind, knowing what I wanted and standing outside my door ready to deliver it! Could you work on having someone putting the shoes on the feet for me?? These were for a business trade show for 6 guys; I will be ordering some EMS boots from you soon for my personal use.

Pinch - I had to pay my local shoemaker to stretch one of the shoes, which pinched my toe. Otherwise, and OK shoe.

Dave’s review - They are a bit heavier than earlier Rockports I’ve purchased, probably due to the different sole material. I like them very much, but the real winner is the superb service from Zappos.
