Good overall shoes - Not a bad shoe. Lighter than the Feldspar without sacrificing the comfort. I ordered the black ones a couple of weeks ago and I just went ahead and ordered the dark brown ones.

Comfort right out of the box! As a college instructor, I am on my feet a lot each day. True to Rockports, these shoes were very comfortable the first time I wore them.

Zappos is the best - I have a narrow foot that is hard to find B width shoes. I used to occasionally be able to get Rockport narrow shoes at the local outlet. They stopped carrying that size two years ago so I attempted to get it from Rockport.com only to be disappointed as well. Luckily I found Zappos! I have worn this shoe for 2 weeks now and it is as solid as my old pair. The soles provide good support and protection if you are on your feet all day. It is also waterproof which is great now the fall dews are on the grass! My only complaint is that the sole looks a bit industrial but don't be discouraged these shoes lasted my 3 years previously and I'm still using the old pair as waterproof workshoes.

Northfield Review - This is a great looking and very comfortable shoe except that the heel slips due to being a little wide, especially for a N (narrow) size. I normally wear 11.5 B and the shoe fits great everywhere except in the heel.

Very Comfortable and comes in narrows! This shoe is great! The shoe looks great, is water proof but unlike the feldspar style from Rockport this one is not hot in warm weather. Also thankfully this comes in a narrow which not many companies make and or carry. Note the narrow fits well with a crew sock so it does not run really narrow. Great Overall

A Very Comfortable Shoe - I highly recommend the Northfield. I was originally going to purchase the Brooklands, but Zappos did not have my size, so I selected the Northfield as my second choice and am very happy with the shoe. There was not break in time as the shoes were comfy right out of the box. I wore these to Europe the second week I had them with no regrets. I was originally going to spend the big $ for a pair of Mephistos, and may still yet, but for 1/3 the price, the Northfield cannot be beat.

Another quality Rockport shoe - I was bummed when I found out that Rockport had discontinued their Oklamhoma Storm Chaser line. I had liked these shoes so much that I bought four pairs of them and they last me almost four years and I do a large amount of walking on a daily basis. The Northfields seem to be a worthy follow up on the Oklahomas. They are comformtable and waterproof which is very important when walking through the slush of a Chicago winter. The soles I think are even better than the Oklahoma as they have a big more traction. I would highly recommend the Northfield.

Great Shoe, Good Price - I purchased the 10-WW in the wood color. Which actually isn't as bright as it looks. I picked this shoe because of the EVA Mid-sole (you can see in the picture, the gray matter between the sole and the upper shoe). The sole is actually rubber and not polyurethane which makes for good traction. I bought this shoe to replace my 3-year-old Thom Mcan leather ones. Granted this shoe needed some breaking in but once that was accomplished it feels great. The best part of this shoe is it's waterproof, great for the winter. I wear khakis and a dress shirt so when it comes to snow these look good, feel good, and are functional. The rubber sole’s outsole pattern actually helps in griping snow when walking. To maximize comfort I put the new Dr.Scholes "Gellin" comfort pads in the bottom. They certainly help. Even with the EVA mid-sole it’s a little stiff. That's the reason for the “4� in comfort. Overall, a good shoe.

Rockport Northfield - My husband received these shoes as a gift and they were a hit! Really comfortable and nice looking in a jeans/cords/casual dress pant sort of way - they go with lots of different looks and he won't break his neck in icy weather due to the rugged sole.
