I need to wear something that is fancier than sneakers at work, but I also do a lot of walking and need to be comfortable, so these shoes are perfect. They are classy looking but very comfortable and well-designed for walking.

These are comfortable shoes, but the leather is so soft and weak that the finish was ruined on one shoe in less than two weeks.

I wear these in Espresso Nubuck for work in rotation. They look business enough with the right pants and jacket. The Northfields are pretty comfortable overall but are really great for walking. The shoe body is stiffer than I expected and the Espresso Nubuck is much lighter than the picture. The stock insoles feel fine, so I'm not replacing them. I've been a Rockport fan for many years, and the Northfields carry the tradition well. I'll probably buy the black Northfields in the future for my more "formal" business shoe. Zappos shipped these the day after I ordered them and I received them the very next day. Another outstanding Zappos experience.

Have had 3 pairs of these before. The Nubuck looks great with business casual in the office. Best of all, these will keep your feet dry in rain or snow, and dirt cleans off with just a light brushing.

My last pair of Rockports lasted more than8 years before I replaced them with these shoes. It is my first day wearing them and so far they are comfortable. I expect them to be more so when they are broken in. Very happy.
