Comfortable but no arch support. Required that I buy an arch support insert. Felt good at first, but loose after a week of wear. The support helped with this as well.

I love the Rockport Great Escape. I primarily wear these as a house shoe because they are so comfortable, but they have the support and sole for outdoor wear. I've been thinking of buying another pair just for the future - that's how good this shoe is. The Zappos customer service on my order was extraordinary as usual - I bought two different sizes to try - kudos to your return service manager.

This was a terrible shoe. Within a day of wearing them, the toe was completely scuffed. Two weeks later there was a hole in the toe. The problem is that the leather of the upper protrudes over the sole. Cute design, but terribly impractical. These were a complete disappointment. Sadly, I found out too late to return them. I recommend against buying them.

As someone else pointed out, the first time you wear this shoe, the toe area gets scuffed. It is only downhill from there. Very poorly designed; stay away from this shoe.

This shoe started developing holes in the toe after after 4 months of occasional (2-3 days/wk) wear in an office setting. I would definitely not recommend this shoe for an every day shoe. However, the leather was very nice and soft, the color was great, and the shoe was very light. In terms of long distance walking, it's probably not the best choice since it has limited support and not much of a sole, but it's not bad for what I had bought it for (wearing to work) at least for the first few months.

Frankly I buy a lot of shoes, I go through them fast as a realtor/contractor; i have to look nice in the office but get stuck having to track through the mud a lot at job sites. These shoes may be the most conformable shoes I have ever had. I'm a large man and have inserts in them as well. They are tops in 52 years of wearing shoes.

I have a wide foot and shoes are hard to find. The width was perfect. These are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I wish they had more colors to choose from, but the cushon soles makes up for it. Like walking on air.

These shoes are a great fit and extremely comfortable. I wear them only around the house and long drives, the curved heel make them perfect for both. I went through a lot of other options - thanks to Zappos' generous return policy - before finding these. Rockport just seems to work for me.

As others have pointed out, the toe of the shoe easily gets scuffed up. By the second time wearing these, the toes had very visible scuffs. By the second week of wearing, there were actual holes in the toes of the shoes. Just a poor functioning design. It's too bad, because I think they were a great looking and feeling shoe. Rockport needs to re-engineer these, otherwise I wouldn't recommend anyone buying them unless they are only planning to wear indoors and on carpet.
