For nearly 40 years, the Rockport® Company has been an industry innovator, the first to use advanced materials and technologies in classically styled shoes for men and women.
The Rockport philosophy of Walkability™ is simple: it means a shoe should fit your foot, not the other way around. It means premium materials, tailored to your lifestyle. It means adiPRENE™ by adidas® technology for comfort where you need it. It means developing innovative footwear engineering that responds to the foot's natural movements.
Building the ultimate footwear for a diverse and active lifestyle means constant evolution. The brand's unique partnership with adidas and the integration of adiPRENE technology into their collections is just the latest collaboration in a proud history of applying athletic-shoe science to casual and dress footwear.
Rockport's current collection is designed with the metropolitan professional in mind; shoes that take you from a challenging workday to a night out to a weekend away. Rockport styles are updated with more tailored, sophisticated profiles, offering a new, dress-up/dress-down versatility for men and women.
There is a renewed focus on classic patterns and an emphasis on quality, both in the materials used and in the construction of the shoe itself. Investing in a timeless product simply makes sense. The formerly causal, relaxed silhouettes have evolved into more tailored, sophisticated, and versatile profiles.

I ordered the 4E width and had to return them for the 2E, although I typically can only wear the extra wide shoes. The 4E was too wide even for me. I'm guessing Rockport shoes are just this way. Just something to consider. The leather is quite smooth and a bit shiny as well.

The problem with these shoes is that they can't decide if they want to be a casual shoe or a formal shoe. They don't look nice enough to be formal, and they're not comfortable enough to be casual. I think there are better Rockports out there in both categories.

Disappointed. I ordered the 12 wide. The apron toe configuration assures plenty of room at the front and toes, but the shoe narrowed sharply at the instep, thus squeezing my wide foot right where I would have thought it would not! I had to open the laces far too wide, so I had to return these. The shoe otherwise looks sharp, nice leather, and good arch support. If you have a wider foot though, try another.
I'd also recommend: deer stag, nunn bush

These are very comfortable for standing for long periods. Still breaking them in. As a bicycle rider, only complaint is a bit of discomfort in the top of the "tongue" area while pedaling, depending on how well I put the shoes on and tighten the laces -- but that shouldn't be a problem for most people who just need to walk and stand.

I purchased these to replace a pair of Allen Edmonds of similar style. I have an extremely narrow foot with a B width. These shoes fit so much better than my more expensive Allen Edmonds. The quality of the leather and finish is not as good as the pair of AE's but the price of these shoes is also less. Overall, a great pair of shoes that I would recommend to anyone.
