Many things have influenced the life and career of designer Robert Rodriguez, but it was Christian Dior that played an essential role. Robert’s mother gave him a book on Christian Dior when Robert was a child, and it was that book that became Robert’s bible and doorway into the world of fashion couture. Robert started sketching at age 8, and when it was time for him to attend college, he studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
The unique talent of Robert Rodriguez was recognized while he was at the Fashion Institute of Technology and he was bestowed the prestigious Critics Award for Best Designer of the Year. After completing his education at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Robert Rodriguez accepted a design position ironically working for Christian Dior under the guidance of Marc Bohen and Geri Gerald. Robert’s love for fashion, attention to detail, and amazing artistry with the styling of garments and his commitment to elegant dressmaking brought him great recognition.
His experiences with Christian Dior gave him the luxury to launch the Robert Rodriguez women’s collection in October of 2003. Robert Rodriguez and his business partner Nicola Guarna gave birth to the Roberto Rodriguez women’s collection. Roberto Rodriguez has quickly gained attention from buyers, celebrities, and trendsetters all over the world. The Roberto Rodriguez women’s collection is targeted to style conscious women of all ages who want a sexy, sophisticated, and fashionably feminine allure to their appearance.
