These shoes were not built to last. I have owned a pair for four months and the inside sole has torn in both shoes, the exterior threading all over is coming undone and the exterior sides of the soles are falling apart. Not what I expected from a company whose slogan is "Built for Life", much less from any boot.

These are nice boots for what they are. I wouldn't wear them in the snow since there's really no insulation and I probably wouldn't take them hiking since the soles are pretty smooth, but for everyday city wear, they're great. Comfortable, stylish, versatile, really nice material, pretty good build quality as far as I can tell. My one complaint: with no bootstrap, they're a pain to get on and off.

They say most people write reviews if they have a very good or bad experience with a product, and I'm the latter. I love the boot's style - good height, fashionable, and can wear them to work. But I've owned them less than a month, and they're clearly not "built to last" - the laces are already fraying beyond use, and the heel composite seems to be made out of particle material. Not really satisfied, especially since I need to go and buy a new pair of laces less than a month after buying them. Not the best -- likely won't buy from RJ colt again.
