Rieker shoes are a great shape to fit my feet, but seem to have the arch in the wrong place for my foot. Not much of an issue in flats, but in heels, it made the shoe uncomfortable very quickly.

This shoe looks a bit narrower and witchy than it looks in the photos. Actually, it reminds me of those shoes Benjamin Franklin and George Washington used to wear. However, the leather is nice and I probably would have kept them, but they are uncomfortable for high arches. The front of the shoe rubs on the top of my foot and I know from experience that it won't get better with time. Unfortunately these will be going back. I wear an 8 and rarely an 8.5; the size 8 fit just right.

I really wanted to like this shoe because I need a black pump and I only wear comfy shoes. Rieker shoes are usually comfy but this one was not. Unlike other Reiker shoes I have that are very similar, the sole of this one felt like it has no padding whatsoever. It was like walking on concrete. So back they went.
