I have worn Rockport\'s waterproof boots for years. For some reason, they have stopped making their classic chukka-style boot. I decided to try these Nevis boots from Red Wing and have been pleased with them so far. They are not quite as high as the Rockports and did not initially feel as comfortable, but they are breaking in nicely.

This is my second purchase of the Nevis and I must say that I am still thrilled with their comfort. I wear the Nevis daily for work and after a short break-in period (5 days) these are by far one of the most comfortable shoe I have purchased in some time. The only minor issue I had during the first five days, was with the ankle support that rubbed just at the wrong spot. Five days later, the shoes fit like a well worn glove. I hope this same model is still available when I need to replace them 8 months down the road. The 4 star rating in comfort is due to the short break-in period. This is a stylish shoe that functions well at work, but also looks good on you in any casual setting. As always, ordering from Zappos is worry-free!\r\n

Very comfortable. The fit is great. The shoes could use a little more arch support. Be informed, these shoes are made in China, compared to many other Red Wing shoes which are made in the USA.
I purchased these for my husband. He loves them!!! They look great and he says they are very comfortable. Red Wing shoes are great.

Red Wing is a proven company for shoes of this nature. I was looking for a solid pair of work shoes, as I do a lot of woodwork. There is no metal toe in these, as my work is at home in my shop. However, they are strong enough to protect your feet from dropping a 2X4 or clamp on your feet! Most important, they are comfortable. For the price, you cannot beat this pair of shoes for working around your home, and going out for a stroll to the hardware store!

I have always loved Red Wing Boots and these do not disappoint. They are very comfortable, good looking, and have awesome traction on loose soils. The only thing I negative I have to say about this boot is that they are a little too reddish in color but it doesn't stop me from wearing them everyday.

Redwing Shoes -
I've had my Redwings for three weeks. For the most part they are real nice shoes. The loop on the back is not big enough to pull them on with. The sole is a little slick on wet surfaces. Be careful! But so far, so good.

Nice shoes -
The shoes are great. The brown fades fast, but they look great. I have wide feet and have problems finding shoes that fit, but these fit fine.
