My feet need a fairly hard to find size, and Zappos allows me to order exactly right. Their product reviews are helpful. The variety of brands coupled with complete product offerings is particularily useful. I really appreciate the super fast service. The shoes are great, not too heavy and just right for what I needed.

Red Wing Bemidji -
These are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in years. When they first arrived, they were stiff and pressed against my ankle, but continued wearing indoors broke them in. Also, they are slowly darkening from wear which is great since I only wear brown colored shoes. I have further found that they are waterproof and keep my feet very dry. Also, these are shoes that can be worn in 25 degree or 95 degree temperatures.
Other Brands Recommended by Reviewer: I have ordered several Timberland models all of which I am very happy with.

Nice tough shoe -
When I first purchased these shoes, they seemed narrow, but soon broke in to become my favorite shoes! I did add extra arch support though, which made a world of difference. All around good shoe.

Review of Red Wing Bemidji boots -
Sizing was dead on. Tied other shoes that were marked 4E but were much narrower. This is an extremely comfortable boot and the leather is nice and pliable. Looks aren't great but when you have feet like a duck there aren't many stylish choices. Would highly recommend this boot for people looking for a real 4E.

Breaking In -
I think the look is great, the width is true. I am on my feet for 10+ hours a day. Breaking in was a trick. The angle of the boot top was unusual for my foot. I have been wearing everyday for the past 2 weeks and I think my foot (ankle) has finally gotten use to them. The sole appears to have sufficient tread. I would definitely buy another pair of Red Wings, I just may try a different style.

Great Shoe!
I ordered the narrow version of this shoe and it fits very nice. The leather has held up nicely in wet conditions, but I did waterproof it before exposure to water. My only negative is that he soles are a bit stiff. I thought this would translate into sore feet standing all day in my shop, but it didn't. Still, the sole feels better now after some use, but it still is a bit stiff. If you need a lightweight, narrow work shoe, check this one out. I am considering another pair because I sometimes wear these casually.

Two major drawbacks.
1. The new shoes slightly damaged my ankle - had to apply bandage for three consecutive days.
2. The new shoes colored my socks. It means that that an internal surface coating is not good enough.
Other than that everything is fine.

What can I say but " WoW". The shoes are very comfortable to walk in, more so than I expected. I have had Red Wing shoes before and expect the best; you may pay a little more, but you get a lot more for your money. When times are tight, make your money go farther, buy a better product.

I have had these 9 months and the side seem has given out. I just wear them to work. So they really don't get abused. Very comfortable and the sole is wearing well. Sorry but can’t recommend these due to the value.

Great boots!
After much agonizing shopping for shoes for my son, we shopped at Zappos online. Finally we got to see many shoe styles in very wide widths, which he must have yet puts off the frustration of finding. We knew the quality of Red Wing, and these are perfect!! The 4W is plenty wide for him, and he really liked the style - not "senior" looking. Plus he says the comfort and cushion is wonderful. They made his feet and legs feel better, too. They're a great everyday shoe.
Finally a wide shoe that fits!
I was a little skeptical about ordering shoes online. Zappos makes it almost impossible not to order with their shipping policy being free both ways. You can't go wrong! My experience with this shoe and this company has earned a customer for life. Thanks Zappos!

I love this bag. It is versatile and classic. The fabric is easy to clean. It does slouch when on the floor, but I expected that. And I appreciate that it does not have a zipper as I often keep my bag open so that it is easy to access things. I love it!

Great Fit - Narrow Foot -
Having difficulty finding shoes that fit narrow feet is a lifelong problem. After breaking in for a couple of hours, these boots felt great.

Love it. I have 2 pair -
I have a pair in each color. I love them. They are comfortable and rugged, but look good (not like hiking boots) with casual office wear. I am on my feet and carry a lot of equipment in a hot dusty environment and they work well. Silicone them as soon as you get them… especially the lighter pair so there will be no stains. Also, I wear a B and appreciate the fit. ZAPPOS is awesome and so is Red Wing.

Fantastic boot!
I have worn my new Red Wing Bemidji boots for 3 days now and I am more than pleased with them. They are very comfortable with superb ankle and arch support. They look sharp in the office, yet relaxed enough to wear anywhere anytime. And delivery was free (and fast) from Zappos.
