These are great. They are a good representation of the quality that I have come to expect from Red Wing. The boot feels true to size and fits well. I would have preferred that Red Wing include the leather insole that is used in the engineer's I bought two years ago (still wearing those by the way).
Brands I'd also recommend: Frye

Good, US made boots; these are clearly indestructible, and will last forever, especially since they can be resoled. The leather is very heavy and soft and arrived well oiled to protect the boots from water or other damage. The construction is flawless. The soles have great traction, and the boots are comfortable to walk around in. That having been said, I'm not sure they're better than Chippewa or Frye engineers, both of which are usually cheaper. I like the leather insole (instead of one of the different synthetics), but I'm not sure it was worth the extra money. I would also like to see them lined with soft leather on the inside, given the price. The insole and inside of the boot are flat, but they break in to the shape of your foot, so I gave them moderate for arch support. They start out looking slightly plain, but will look better and better with age and wear. All in all, they are a solid, great looking pair of boots, and they are well worth the money. If my last pair of boots had held together as well as these will, I wouldn't have been buying this pair!
Brands I'd also recommend: Chippewa, Carolina or Corcoran all make great boots.

Boots arrived a couple of weeks ago. I have worn them almost every day since arriving. Made in USA on the label. Leather is top quality, soft, and I'm sure long lasting. They are breaking in nicely and are very comfortable. Trying to keep the toe scuffs to a minimum. Now I have to research leather conditioning.

It took me a while to get all of the information to write this review, as these were my first non-lace 11 boot. So this review will be mostly for people new to these types of boots. I'm usually a size 10 in sneakers, my feet are 10.5 from heel to toe. I bought several sizes of this boot and eventually settled on the size 9 (US). Which I'm now sure was the right size for me. These being my first pair of boots w/o laces, I wasn't sure how tight/loose they should be. The buckles are pretty much just for show, you won't be able to really tighten the boot much. The thing that made all the difference in comfort and fit was boot socks. When I first tried these, I used tall white socks, the kind you would wear with sneakers. This left my feet feeling kind of loose in the boot. Even with the boot socks, it took me a good amount of wears (maybe five or six all-day, walking-around-wears) to get to really like these boots. I've since learned that this is typical with Red Wing boots. Once they get comfortable, though, you won't want to take them off! Great boots, I love them.

The best pair of pull-on boots I've ever owned. Fit well first time on with proper sock. Strong feel of good craftsmanship. I think these will last me till the end of the ride.
