A big believer in this promise, Charles Beckman, a merchant in Red Wing, Minnesota started on a mission. From his Main Street shoe store, he saw firsthand the need for durable, comfortable boots. In 1905 he founded the Red Wing Shoe Company®. Word spread quickly about the quality and comfort built into every pair and the company prospered.
