Great Boot - I love my Raichle's. I ordered 4 pairs of hiking boots to try on, chose these, and returned the others. One that I returned was a long-time favorite of mine. The Raichle's were equally as comfortable and well-fitting, but the quality was higher. From the laces to the soft leather inner lining, the removable footbed to the quality of the sole- all details a cut above the competition. They are relatively light, they are a beautiful boot, and were easy to break in. I wore mine on several hikes of 12+ miles per day, and had no complaints. I highly recommend the Raichle.

Pleased - I will never forget the first time I tried on my Raichle hiking boots. They felt wonderful. I was searching for running shoes the other day and thought perhaps Raichle makes some. Sure enough, and they had that same wonderful feel right out of the box.

Good design, poor execution. I am returning a pair of these boots. The toe leather reveals amateurish irregularities in contour; naked leather edges around the ankle front abruptly end and are clumsily stitched together instead of folding back, tucking under and inside stitched; little bits of leather stick out untrimmed inside the tongue; the left tongue front is stitched different than the right in an unacceptably clumsy manner; wrong color leather is used for inside the ankle and arrives stained by the brown leather of the tongue. I would gladly pay for a shoe that meets expected standards of excellence but this shoe disappoints.

Quality shoe from a trusted name - I was looking for a low-rise waterproof trail shoe that I would feel OK using as casual footwear as well, and I hit pay dirt with these Raichles. Comfortable out of the box, they're great on the trail or for just kicking around. They're stiffer than most running shoes, which provides for a sure-footed grip on more rugged ground. And the water-proofing works. Perfectly consistent with what you'd expect from Raichle -- and without the break-in period that their leather boots required (at least in the old days). And if you haven't experienced the Zappos ordering experience, you are in for a treat. These folks will treat you right. This is the place to buy these shoes.

Great shoe - I'm very happy with this shoe. It is lightweight and very comfortable. Perfect for moderate hiking on a trail or even around town.

Great Hiker! This boot was exactly what I needed. I do a lot of day hikes here in SE Alaska. Trails are generally wet or muddy or both. Needed good traction and firm support for a weak ankle. These seem to do the job just fine. Good looking boot, too.
