I’ve been a fan of the 96 hours collection for a few years and have 6 pairs of shoes from the series. I purchased the Speedcat Re-luxe in late 2008 and am somewhat disappointed by the lack of ventilation (and resulting odor). I wear this pair of shoes the least often because of the lingering odor. Other shoes in the series (and other brands) don’t have the same misfortune... so I can’t take all of the blame with relation to the odor!!!

Great for Tai Chi Practice! I went looking for a shoe that would have a flat sole and flat heel. I found these at the PUMA store in the mall. They have a great insole that breathes and gives just the right support for protecting the heel and bottom of the foot when stepping, shifting your weight, turning, and standing. I am a professional Tai Chi teacher and student. Learning martial arts for over 30 years. I've been using these shoes to practice Tai Chi in (Original Chen Family Style) and they are great! They are stylish and hold up very well. The rubber on the soles must be really tough, yet it bends and is so soft and pliable, I keep thinking I'm going to erase the bottoms on the different floors I practice on. Everything from tile to concrete, hardwood, bamboo, linoleum, and even some sidewalks of late. The brown leather is dark enough that it looks black, and the shiny leather wrapped around the heel had some getting used to, but the softness and the quality of materials makes me glad I paid the money for them. Other Tai Chi shoes I've used don't hold up like this, aren't as soft, and don't have the nice flat feel for the ground like these shoes. Rudolph Dassler must have had a Tai Chi teacher tell him what he wanted in a shoe and he made it. The "feel" I get when wearing these shoes promotes that sinking and rooted feeling in the whole body and allows me to engage the correct core muscles while practicing Tai Chi. There is only a hint of an arch support and the whole shoe is pretty wide and roomy. This allows the toes to expand when pressing the foot down in extended postures, plus the flatness of the sole gives the toes the ability to really grip the floor through the shoe. The low padded part that fits just below the ankle never gets in the way when lunging or performing extreme low stances too. With this shoe you can increase the effectiveness of your Tai Chi movements. And even if you don't practice Tai Chi, you will probably find yourself walking more smoothly and with better balance while wearing these shoes. I recommend them to all my students.

For big feet - I wanted to like this shoe, but it looked enormous. I followed the reviews and got a full size smaller, but it was still a full size too large. The size perhaps made the shoe look extra goofy, and with the Velcro, which I thought would be subtle and cute, with the little eyelet cut outs, but they didn't. The yellow are not all shiny, but a mix between patten leather and suede and I wasn't sure about how I was going to keep them clean anyway. Not the shoe for me.

Unlike the regular Speedcat, you need to size down 1/2 your regular size. Unfortunately for me, there isn't anything smaller than a 7. No arch support. There's a little bit of rubbing on the outside of my small toe, leaving it a bit raw. However, if fashion is the game, then this shoe does quite well. It's not their Clyde Loakes, but this is as close as you'll get to bespoke/trad styles from Puma.

Just wanted to affirm the other reviews about the size discrepancy. The shoe runs REALLY big (and evidently wide too!). I am a true size 8 and I ordered a size 7, based on the other reviews here and they are even a bit too big still. The leather pinches in the front when I velcro them as tight as I'd like but I just solve that by leaving them a bit loose. Regardless they are really cute and seem to be comfortable, I haven't worn them for a full day but the trip to the store that I took in them was cushy.

Bought the silver/white....very cool...& comfortable for the wide foot. The shoes "spring" out from a pair of jeans taking people by surprise. Lots of fun to wear. I wear a woman's 6.5. Puma usually fits a bit tight. Order your real size on this kick.

Nice looking but stiff - Although the images on the site do not really show the leather material, they are actually patent white. Personally I like the look a lot, however, probably because it's made of patent leather; it's kinda stiff at first couple wears. I am at the third wear now and hope it will get better with time.

Very high quality shoe. I bought last year’s version (dark brown) and really loved them. The leather is super nice, and the large wedges of the outsole make for some nice cushioning. The only thing I like a little better about last year's version is that the interior heel-lining is leather, on these it’s a more typical synthetic woven material. But great buy overall.

Cute shoe, but sizing is way off - I wear a 7.5, so I ordered the men's 6, which they say is a 7 in women's. Wrong. The shoe is a full size too big, maybe a size and a half. The shoe is super cute so I hope going down a size will work. I hope so. Good luck!

Too big - I normally wear size 5.5 or 6. I got a size 5 for this one and it's still way too long. The look is not as neat as it appears on the picture.

Black Puma MY-39 - Puma's Japanese design edition shoes never disappoint. Wonderful modern take on a classic retro dress shoe. Looks great with skinny or straight leg pants (on boy or a girl). Patent leather and cool details will dress up even the most boring, generic outfit. Black model is really versatile. White model could look really slick, but not everyone can pull off this white patent leather, velcro closure, hi-top sneaker. Comfy; good ankle support. Few things to be aware of: OK for normal rainy weather but stay away from puddles or heavy rain - the toe cup & sole seam are not perfectly sealed - some water will find its way to your socks. In colder weather wear thicker socks - they are not as warm as some other hi-tops. My biggest problem - break-in period. Out of the box, these act like shoes, not like sneakers. Some of the thicker seams (on the inside) could hurt your foot pretty badly. Even after few months of wearing them daily, my feet hurt for first 15 min once I put them on. If you wear both shoes & sneakers, you'll deal with these few minutes of pain just fine. But if you wear only sneakers or orthopedic shoes this is not a shoe for you.

Great fit - These shoes are so comfortable and plus the colors are just as they look in the picture. Everyone kept asking me where I got these shoes they thought they were really expensive shoes like Gucci or Prada. Zappos is great. Every time I am looking for a certain item, I am always able to find it here. Great service also, the shipping is amazing and on time.

Not Worth It! I thought that these shoes looked great online, but when I opened the box I was very disappointed. The "warm black" is really brown, not black, and the leather part of the upper looks cheap. They are very wide (too wide for most women's feet). I have other Pumas in a 7.5, but for these I would have to get a 6.5. Lastly, the soles were already partially unattached. I've never seen such poor quality in a Puma.

A great pair of sneakers! These are great! They are really bright silver and perhaps not for everyone's taste, but they are extremely comfortable and stylish. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them. If you're not afraid to make a bold fashion statement these are for you.

AWESOME LOOK... I own all three colors of this version shoe...and for some reason the black seems a bit tighter in overall length and fit of the shoe...I don't know if its the patent look and the leather being tightened a certain way or what...anyways...I love all three and just have to loosen the shoestrings up a little bit for the black ones.
