By all rights, these shoes should be very comfortable. They're Puma, so they're good quality, and indeed are quite well made. Unlike most ballet flats, they have a cushy insole and a built-in heel pad. However, they are fiendishly uncomfortable. I bought them in a size that I've bought puma sneakers in before and that I have not had previous issues with; these feel significantly smaller, particularly lengthwise. The worst part is how badly they bite my heels. The first time I wore them, within an hour I had bleeding blisters. Granted, this is an issue I have with most (cheap) flats, and generally is solved with the addition of a drug store heel grip. This did not work with these shoes; the heel grip on top of the padding made the shoe far too small and actually caused me ingrown nails. Finally I tried a narrow strip of moleskin along the top edge of the shoe, which only worked for a bit -- they still bite! I've just added another strip on top of the last, and it's questionable how well that would work. Given that I paid so much for these shoes, under most circumstances I'd have immediately returned them. Unfortunately, they start out deceptively comfortable -- one must wear them long enough to prevent return before they show their true colors. I've tried and tried to make these comfortable and worth the money I spent -- foolishly thinking that a more expensive pair of shoes would be better made and more comfortable -- but I hate them. And I keep wearing them because I'm really mad to be out that money that I could have put towards 3 pairs of crappy but comfortable garbage shoes from Payless, or a pair of boots, or something that I actually like and don't just wear out of a sense of obligation.

As someone who even dresses casual when dressed up I found it difficult to find comfortable, cute flats, that could easily go with my style regardless of if I was wearing a skirt of jeans. These shoes easily did that; however, the toe box is incredibly tight. I had 3 different sizes shipped to me in the hopes that they would work out because they are just so cute. I really wanted them to fit. The heel has extra padding, the laces are the perfect length, and they seemed like they would be easy to care for. However, even in the size that I ordered that was too big the toe box still crushed my toes. A+ for style, F for fit.

I was putting on my Puma running/ walking shoes and I thought hey, these are so comfy I wonder if they make any other styles, like ballet flats? I found the Puma Lily ballet flat, as always got them super quickly from Zappos, tried them on and voila! Comfortable from the out of the box moment and forward. No breaking in. I have had 4 foot surgeries and have worked as a wedding coordinator on my feet for 20 years! When I think a shoe is comfortable, it is!

I wanted a versatile shoe that would be comfortable on sidewalks,look as good with trousers as with jeans. These are perfect. I'm an 11N, but the 11M works with thin socks or barefoot. The laces look a little dorky, but overall the style is flattering even to my big feet.

Love this shoe, I have two pairs, different colors. Everyone always comments on how cute they are. Very comfortable and my feet are not easy to please. True to size, I have a narrow heel and the ball of my foot is wider.
