Propet Reviews
This shoe is very cute and has reasonable cushioning for those with arthritis. It seemed a little narrow for a 2W, and about a half size longer than marked. The mesh material was very rough and scratchy. They were so uncomfortable I had to send them back. Too bad, they are cute!
These sandals are very comfortable, but run extremely large. I usually wear an 11EE and the 10D is still too large.
I have been trying out a number of pairs, but these worked for someone who has trouble with their feet now. Tongue wasn't so thick as many now are, velcro straps were just right not too short or too long.
I bought these shoes for my granddaughter and she loves them. They fit perfectly on her 'hard to fit' feet and are very comfortable. It runs large, so ordered half size smaller.

These are wonderful shoes and I am ordering my second pair. They are so comfortable, I actually thought I was bare foot the other day, looked down and there they were on my feet. Amazing. They don't seem like real tough shoes, but they are fine for bike riding and walking on pavement.
Nice lightweight sneaker type but heel kept coming up. No back lip would have worked.
I have problem feet and could not find wide-enough walking/slow jogging shoes in any store. Hooray for Zappos, these Propets are good. The velcro closures are convenient and stability is good. I easily insert my bunion-supporting insoles making comfort perfect. Now I can go on the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir 'running' track in style!
I am very disappointed with this shoe. I was hopeful this was going to be a running shoe from Propet. It is a failure. instead of shoe laces, they use an elastic cord, a rubber band, to secure them to your feet. So you cannot really tighten them. The rubber band runs through a thin thin piece of leather that broke as soon as I tightened the clip used to tighten the rubber band. I am very unhappy with this shoe and cannot recommend them to anyone. I've bought Propet in the past because they are the only brand in my 5E size. I was so looking forward to a running shoe from them. This is not the one I wanted.
I did not like this style on my feet. The shoes are comfortable but very clunky looking. I have wide feet which may exaggerate the look. Many thanks to Zappos for being a great online retailer.
I purchased these shoes in black and although they are not very feminine looking sandals, they fit the bill for my wide and hammer toed feet. I then ordered in the beige/bone color and they do not fit as well, they are very loose around back of my feet and very chunky looking. They are going back. Many thanks to Zappos for their great service.
The Propet Heather is a very good shoe. I was another of your customers who was looking for new shoes after a hip replacement. I also broke that hip 11 years before, and had Juvenile Arthritis as a child. (The good thing about breaking my hip was the Orthopedic Surgeon who fixed my broken hip warned me that in about 10 years I was going to need my hip replaced from the damage from my Arthritis as a kid. I do remember hearing that as a child, but nothing came of it as a child. I was prepared for the hip replacement.) I needed shoes that can be opened or closed by velcro . I also wanted something that could be used year around, and something I could wear casually as well as for something a bit more dressy. I also needed something that if my feet were swollen, I could still put my feet in it. This Propet shoe I picked did all that and was not too expensive. I am happy with this shoe. The edges of the shoe above my heel were a bit sharp, but they haven't cut through even nylons. Thanks Zappos for carrying a shoe that filled all my needs and was cute for a price that wasn't too bad.
The good: 5E fits. The bad: These shoes are falling apart after barely three months on the job. The soles are coming unglued and the seam on the top has totally opened, making a funnel for sand and white hot weld spatter to enter the boots. Very disappointing compared to the Chippewa boots which have lasted three years, but are not available in 5E width. I also bought a pair of Drew, which are wide enough, but the tongue is not leather, so it is a perfect magnet for foxtails and thistles, worthless for work or for hiking on anything but cleared trails.
This shoe is very comfortable and looks good with slacks and skirts. The arch support was good but not outstanding; however, I was able to replace the insert to ensure maximum comfort. The shoe runs slightly large; I would order half a size smaller if ordering another pair of this style. I would order this style again, as I do like the style and feel it is quite versatile, working well with both slacks and skirts.
Very nice show, with good arch support. Even if I have narrow feet, the medium width still seemed too small around the bunion area.
Bed of shoe too narrow and I am a perfect medium. Straps too loose, but great looking shoe and nice heel height.
The sole of this sandal is incredibly comfortable but the implementation of the straps undo almost all of its benefits. The forward portion squeezes my toes together and the rear portion is not far back enough to let my heel land squarely on the cushion. It feels like all they would have to do is move the upper back about 1/2" to make this a great sandal.
I absolutely love these shoes. For a person with wide feet, they are the whole package: proper fit and stylish. Buy 'em.
Have rhruematoid arthritis, this shoe is easy to put on, and very comfortable although had to remove sole insert to put on with heavy socks.
I have been looking for a shoe like I bought 5-6 years ago that was perfect. I ordered this shoe because it was extra wide and would hold my orthotic. I am unable to bend over and buckle my shoe so I must clasp it before I put my foot into the shoe. The problem is that there is no elastic in the heel strap and no Velcro on the first strap, so there is no give in this shoe.
