These are cute, and it seems like they would be warm, but I was looking for boots for walking to work in snowy/icy conditions, and the tread on these was terrible. If they got any water or ice on them, they would be super slick. I sent them back and went with another Propet boot that had better tread.

I love these! The Propet Vail boots are great casual, cold weather boots. No, you are not going to take these on a snowy hike. They are Scotch-Guarded, but I do not think they are waterproof. But they will keep your tootsies warm on a winter day. The flat sole is very comfortable for walking. The only mild disappointment is that I thought the plaid detail would be a tweed or flannel, but it is polar fleece. It is still super cute, but I wonder a little about the fleece's durability. Overall, I am very pleased with these boots!

These boots are awesome! They are comfortable right out of the box. I was worried about them being a light color and getting dirty from slush/mud or snow, so far they look as good as the day I pulled them out of the box! So comfortable and cute too. And Zappos, of course, rocks with the whole order one day get them the very next day! Home run! Thanks again!

I LOVE these shoes. I have really wide feet, so this is the first pair of shoes I've had, ever, that actually fit. They are super comfy and cute. The material does get scuffed/dirty easily, but given that they fit... I don't care!

This is a very comfortable and warm boot that I look forward to wearing a lot this winter. It's the first shoe I've bought from this brand, and I think the quality seems quite high and the shoe is very true to size. The footbed is cushy and the boot is easy to take on and off. It will be great to wear under or over jeans. I found that the brown color is a more cool/neutral tone than it appeared on my monitor, and the plaid fleece is also more neutral and less orangey than it appears on my monitor (though there is some orange). I'm very pleased with the color. I would consider more Propet shoes in the future.

I bought these to wear on holiday in March to Ireland/England, and though I haven't gone yet, I've already worn these shoes all over town. I can't speak to their waterproofing yet, but they're warm, cute, and so comfortable. I was a tiny but disappointed to realize that though, yes, the shaft is wide enough to accommodate my calves attained from years of marching band, it's not so large that I can wear skinny jeans inside the boot to show off that cute flannel detail in back. Still worth the purchase in my opinion though!

These boots are made for walking - truly. My podiatrist suggested I get a pair of shoes with a clog-like sole after breaking my toe. When I called Zappos the lovely sales rep suggested these after I explained my issues. The only color available in my size was khaki but they are easy to clean & a nice change from my usual darker colored winter footwear. They feel & look great! Even my doctor asked where she could get a pair! I love them!

Love these new boots! I wear size 12, I'm almost 6' tall - and these boots make my feet look small. Perfectly cut and comfortable - I've rec'd tons of compliments on them every time I wear them. Boot shaft is the perfect width and height for my calves, and the buckle and flipped over fabric are great touches. Very durable, outdoor walking boots, but cute and fashionable too. Can't wait to wear these next year when I work the Outdoor Retailers Show in Salt Lake City.
