Fabulous! I had foot surgery 7 weeks ago and going back to work in NYC needed a shoe that would accommodate and support my still healing and still somewhat swollen shoe but, also, look somewhat stylish. These shoes are great. They are sort of retro-stylish oxfords. I will wear them long after my foot has healed because, as my college-age son says, "Cool, Mom!"

UNCOMFORTABLE - I was so excited to finally find a service shoe made by Propét no less. I am a Correctional Officer and I need a good shoe that will polish. The looked great but are unwearable. THEY HURT MY FEET!

A solid work shoe - The shoe is comfortable and fits true to size, but it is a little too warm. It is said to be washable and doesn't have vents, so I'm thinking it is good for people who work in environments where their feet need to stay dry, like restaurant kitchen work, outside wet weather work, or something like that.

Not the right kind of clunky - I like chunky shoes, but these are not the right kind - the soles are too flat. Also the laces don't go very far down the front of the shoe, which made my feet look really extra long! (I am a 7w) They also smell really bad. I even left them out of the box a few days, hoping it would dissipate, but it didn't, it just made my living room smell, so back they go. Thanks Zappos for making returns easy!

Good work shoe - This shoe is not as pretty as I had hoped for, but I am on my feet all day teaching in a classroom. My orthotics fit in the shoe. It looks okay with slacks. Chunky shoes are back in style. Most important is that at the end of the day my feet feel great.

Overall, pretty good shoe - I bought these shoes to wear at work with a custom orthotic. Though the orthotic fits fine, I would have appreciated a more cushioned sole since I have to remove the cushioned insole. The other negative (for some people) may be that this shoes makes the feet look much bigger than other styles. I think it is due to the fact that the lacing ends so far away from the toes. Lacing down further would make the feet look smaller and also provide a more adjustable fit in the toe area, which for me is a little too roomy. Overall, I am very happy with this shoe. I have a hard time finding shoes that will fit my orthotic without looking like the orthopedic shoes the elderly often wear and these fit that bill for me.

Comfort - I had ordered a shoe from Propét before and I found it to be comfortable, but a little small in size. This time I ordered the shoe half a size bigger and it is wonderful! I did read in another revue that the shoe smells bad. That is the case, but the smell wears off and you get nothing but pure joy wearing the shoe! I’m on my feet 10-12 hours a day and at the end of the day my feet still feel like I had no shoes on at all, very relaxed!

Great Uniform shoe! Lightweight and flexible, these shoes are great if you need a smooth toe shoe to wear in law enforcement. Good support in the arch. They seem to be true to size.

These shoes accommodate a rather large orthotic. They are very comfortable, although they don't "breathe," so my socks are usually damp when I take them off at the end of the day. They look fine - a bit clunky for my taste, but they serve their purpose very well and are very comfortable.

Comfort, not beauty - Comfortable for working all day on my feet on a cement floor. Decent arch support, but some people may need more. Not beautiful, but I'll take comfort over looks any day. Had to replace the laces because they are too short.

My Maxigrips - I love these shoes. I have 2 knee replacements and currently have hip problems. I am picky about the shoes I purchase. I was unsure at first about these, but then I put them on and it was love at first fit. They are light weight, comfy, and great for my knees and hips. I would love to find them in navy. I am considering buying another pair.

Great shoes - These shoes are a little tight on my left ankle but I sprained that ankle about 14 years ago & the swelling has never completely gone away. So if you've never sprained an ankle that is still swollen, these are the best shoes in the whole world!!

Serves the purpose, but could use improvement. I was looking for shoes like this to wear to work. I needed a shoe that would accommodate my orthotics. This does that while looking somewhat professional. The problem I noticed is that the shoe laces so high on the foot that the shoes make feet look much longer than they actually are. I would much prefer a few more sets of eyelets for a better look and also more control over the fit for the rest of my foot.
