I got these shoes for work. While they are well made, they are also uncomfortable. I don't reccomend them to anyone who is standing for long periods of time.

Looks great with slacks. Heel depth was a little deep, but insert gel heel cushions and that solved the problems. Very comfortable. Roomy for a 9W, but OK with thicker socks.

These are very comfortable shoes right out of the box. They have very good soles so you don't slip on ice or rainy conditions. I had to buy a new pair to replace my 3 year old pair and I've worn them a lot.

I've been a Sheriff's Corrections Deputy for nearly 30 years. We must wear sturdy black "uniform-like" shoes. I'd been buying mine from a discount chain. Their shoes never felt great (I have flat feet & the support, what little support they had, would be gone in short order) & being fake outer material, they would start peeling within a month of wearing them. The Propet Maxigrips are amazing. First time I put them on, I felt like my feet were cushioned by clouds. They are sturdy, comfortable & have great support. They are even machine washable. I'd read the reviews which complained about the laces. I must agree. I had to double tie them so they wouldn't slip loose & just today one broke as I was tying it. I'm just going to replace them with "regular" laces. I wear Wide shoes & often the wides are still too tight. I can actually wiggle my toes all around in these. I do love them. Just get some different shoe laces for them! As for style? Well, they are just Oxfords after all. We're not really looking for style with these. But they look good. I would definitely buy another pair when I need them.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I wore the first pair out after 4 years. Can't say enough good things about them-- sturdy, so comfortable, go great with any trousers or jeans and easy to clean and polish. Wish they came in more colors-- I'd buy multiple pairs!

I bought these shoes in the Fall, and now it's the end of April. I've worn them at least 3 days every week, usually more. They are amazingly comfortable! I wear a 9 W, and have problems with recurrent Morton's Neuromas and incipient bunions. These shoes are perfect. The bottom has a soft rubber outsole that has worn away and is flapping a bit, so I'll have to get that fixed. Probably not at 1000 mile mark, as Propet promises, but pretty close! Great shoes.

These shoes are very comfortable and I add orthotics and another foot liner and still have plenty of room. I did not find the shoelaces any trouble by making a double bow. Great for walking.

Very, very happy with this shoe. Fit perfectly and I was able to wear it all day on the first day. As long as you know that it's not a fem shoe and is more along the lines of a comfortable shoe. You will not be dissatisfied. I like that it has air holes and can breathe. The leather is not stiff but not too soft and the insole has cushion and a good arch support. I'd buy it again, no doubt about it!

Great shoes - These shoes are a little tight on my left ankle but I sprained that ankle about 14 years ago & the swelling has never completely gone away. So if you've never sprained an ankle that is still swollen, these are the best shoes in the whole world!!

My Maxigrips - I love these shoes. I have 2 knee replacements and currently have hip problems. I am picky about the shoes I purchase. I was unsure at first about these, but then I put them on and it was love at first fit. They are light weight, comfy, and great for my knees and hips. I would love to find them in navy. I am considering buying another pair.

These shoes accommodate a rather large orthotic. They are very comfortable, although they don't "breathe," so my socks are usually damp when I take them off at the end of the day. They look fine - a bit clunky for my taste, but they serve their purpose very well and are very comfortable.

Great Uniform shoe! Lightweight and flexible, these shoes are great if you need a smooth toe shoe to wear in law enforcement. Good support in the arch. They seem to be true to size.

Comfort - I had ordered a shoe from Propét before and I found it to be comfortable, but a little small in size. This time I ordered the shoe half a size bigger and it is wonderful! I did read in another revue that the shoe smells bad. That is the case, but the smell wears off and you get nothing but pure joy wearing the shoe! I’m on my feet 10-12 hours a day and at the end of the day my feet still feel like I had no shoes on at all, very relaxed!

Propét Maxigrip - I have a difficult time finding comfortable shoes because I have an especially high arch. Propét has been my shoes of choice for several years. This shoe is a decent work shoe - not dressy but it gets the job done. Runs slightly larger than the usual 7 Propét.

Fabulous! I had foot surgery 7 weeks ago and going back to work in NYC needed a shoe that would accommodate and support my still healing and still somewhat swollen shoe but, also, look somewhat stylish. These shoes are great. They are sort of retro-stylish oxfords. I will wear them long after my foot has healed because, as my college-age son says, "Cool, Mom!"
