I love Zappos! I wear size 9 1/2 4E and Zappos is the only place I can find shoes that fit. So I ordered 4 pairs of Propet boots to see which one would work. Amalthea is the winner! It fit properly, including the top where I do not have a skinny leg and the zipper isn't cutting into my leg when I wear shorter socks. I will be flying so the quick zipper in and out will be perfect too. I hope they last!

I was looking for an attractive all weather boot that would be wide enough to wear thick socks in New York winters. These were perfect and really attractive under jeans. However, I had to return since the padding by my calf was really uncomfortable. I ordered a size 11W to wear with socks and they would have been perfect. Loved the thermal lining and the rugged sole. For a waterproof leather boot these are really great looking and I could wear these all day in Manhattan and still not look like I am wearing a snowboot. So disappointed I couldn't keep them.

Exactly what I was looking for in a boot, unfortunately with a heavier leg, the boot doesn't zip all the way up; thought by ordering W width the leg would be wider too; guess I'll have to return.

Great boot! Warm and comfortable! Seems they run big. I usually take 8 1/2 but the 8 1/2 was too big but 8 is perfect.

These boots were exactly what I was looking for, and was starting to think I'd never find. I wanted a simple zip-up winter boot that I could get away with wearing with my work uniform (indoors). They come out of the box feeling stiff, but relaxed to a comfortable fit in no time. They have a great sole for messy winter conditions, what I call good "gription." I am so happy I selected these and didn't have to make a return to look for another pair.

It was too narrow at the top for my ankles so I had to return them. Nice looking boot and for people with "normal size" ankles will be perfect.
Brands I'd also recommend: mephisto, clarks, finn comfort

Very warm, super comfortable - no break in time needed. I wore them the first time on a trip, lots of walking through airports, etc. without blisters or any trouble. Recommend wearing taller socks. Very warm too - my feet were nice and cozy. They are a bit clunky, like a motorcycle boot. Would buy again!

My feet get fatigued when walking with these shoes. They look very nice and have lots of room for my feet, but lack arch support and padding for the ball of my foot.

These boots are comfy and versatile in terms of style. However after less than a year of use, the upper of one boot has almost totally separated from the heel. They cannot be repaired. I am very disappointed in their durability.
