This is a beautiful shoe, in concept and color. The soft beige + pale aqua contrast heel are a lovely combo. I like the not too dressy/not too casual look of this design. The patent leather trim is practical too for a summer sandal. Now the bad news: (a) uncomfortable due to a lack of padding/support at the sole of the shoe, and the toe band digs into the arch; (b) makes legs appear shorter than they really are due to the wide ankle-wrap elastic band, which cuts the leg in half at and above the ankle. About the fit: true to size (length), wide at the toe, no arch support at all. This shoe would be much better w/ a more generous thicker sole, more cushioning at the ball of the foot, and a simple sling back instead of the wide ankle-wrapping strap which cuts the leg in half. No woman wants her legs to appear shorter than they are.

I love the feel of this shoe - not too dressy, not too casual. The shiny patent leather adds a little pizzazz to a popular design (2-banded sandal). It’s not apparent from the pictures, but the upper band has a little metallic thread woven in - another subtle pizzazz element. Now the bad news: it was uncomfortable! (1) Band at the toe digs into the arch of the foot - OUCH! (2) Balance seems to be off in this shoe, e.g., I felt all the pressure on the ball of my foot. This could have been because the sole of this shoe is a bit thin and sparsely padded. This chunky-heeled shoe would look more balanced with a slightly thicker sole. (Would probably be more comfortable, too?)

It has an unfinished look and it was too expensive. Other than that, it was really cute. I think I will return it and wait for it to go on sale. Another downfall is that it is very uncomfortable and it feels like stepping on stones, but hey, beauty hurts! It’s a Porenza Schouler after all!
