"Dear Zappos Customer Service Team: Greetings and thanks from Chicago! I'm writing to commend you on your unbelievable service and to offer to provide positive feedback in any way that I can. I have used your service several times and while every time has been an incredibly easy and enjoyable experience (you once even expedited an order so I could get shoes before a vacation), this time really has surpassed any online shopping experience I've ever had. I ordered a pair of Von Zipper Papa G sunglasses late last night after looking around for them all over Chicago. I had seen them in a store a few months back in Manhattan Beach, California and hadn't gotten them thinking I should save up for them. I figure that I would easily be able to get them back at home. After a while of looking for them unsuccessfully, I decided to check Zappos.com, and sure enough, you had them. As I mentioned previously, I ordered them last night using free shipping (I am a student after all), and to my great surprise this afternoon when I returned home, they were sitting in the vestibule of my building. Less than 24 hours after I ordered them! Just like everyone else, I am well aware of the current economic climate and it has made me (and I suspect many others) even more sensitive as a consumer to the type of value and service I receive when I choose to spend my money with one business or another. For this reason, I am especially appreciative of your fantastic and prompt service. The standard of excellence that must pervade your company, from the phone operators, to the web programmers, to the packers in the warehouse is truly impressive and other businesses would do well to learn from your model.
