I've run in the original PureCadence, the PureCadence 2 and the PureCadence 3 and the PureCadence 3 is my favorite out of the three of them. It has a slight improvement in the sole over the 2, but the upper is much better than the 2. If you're looking for a minimalist leaning, light weight shoe with some support, this is a great choice.

Best entrance into zero drop running for this old timer. I have been running (Central Park asphalt, trails, off-trail) for about forty (oy!) years. I started with Adidas white leather running shoes with the green stripe, and (almost)ended with Brooks high stabilization shoes (Beast, Addiction). My feet were wrecked over a decade ago: bunions, missing cartilage in toe joints, etc. Surgery was suggested, but instead I cut down on running pulled back to brisk walking only. However, I decided to try a zero drop shoe (it made sense, especially the part about lifted heels forcing my toes together in a downhill motion with every step). Already a fan of Brooks, I tried the Pure Cadence 3. They literally made my feet want to run. It was weird. Not walk, mind you, but just start running. I overdid it of course, but have scaled back and am very, very happy. My forefoot is wide, my heel narrow, so Asics didn't work for me, but this shoe is perfect. This sounds cliched, but felt cloudlike, and that organic impulse to run will remain a mystery for which I am very grateful.

Brands I'd also recommend: Altra zero drop - Torin for men.

These were a gift for my 29 year old son. He absolutely loves them. They are lightweight and super comfortable to run in.

First of all I would like to give 5 stars to Zappos. I literally bought these shoes at 2:45pm yesterday and they arrived the next day. That is awesome customer service right there. Now as far as how I feel about these shoes all I can say they are comfortable! That was the first thing I noticed when I put these on. It was amazing how little break in time these required. This is my second pair of Brooks. My first pair were the original Pure Connects. I loved those shoes but decided to go with the Cadence this time since I still wanted the minimalist feel but with a tad bit more cushioning. Lets just say these were right on the money. I was sort of skeptic about the burrito wrap tongue and the nav band thinking that it would suffocate my huge Shrek feet but that was not so. These were wider in the toe box than my Pure Connects and my legs didn't have that tired feeling after a long run. I am a bit of an overpronater and these helped with that issue. It also felt like my run went faster with less effort. I sure hope Brooks doesn't mess with the characteristics of this shoe they are almost perfect in my opinion but I guess you will have to find that out for yourself. Until then happy running.

These are by far the best combination of minimal toe to heel drop shoes I have ever owned. I have owned Asics, NB, Salomon and Saucony. The rocker architecture on these shoes minimizes "scuffing" as you get tired on long runs (20+ miles). Excellent pronation support, with a lot of relief on my IT band.

Like the looks of the Pure Cadence 3 and the shoe seems well made. I think they would be comfortable for someone with very narrow feet since they run very small and narrow. They will have to go back... sorry Zappos.

Running in Brooks for 10 years (5 pair). This shoe is not the same quality construction or comfort of other products. Sending back for exchange. Maybe this was a "bad batch".
